Moderation rules are more lenient for this section, but try and play nicely.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. Jake Milbank has taken a step up in his recovery:
    Cleared for Day Leave
He said the first thing he did was go and see his dog.
“Such an awesome feeling to be back out in the real world breathing in some fresh air. I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point, I couldn’t have done it without you all,” Milbank wrote.

The eruption happened on Jake’s 19th birthday. His response shows great courage. Along with many, many others, I wish him all the absolute best for the future.

  2. Gordon Campbell at Scoop covers the lost attempt to have protest-free zones around abortion clinics in NZ.
He points out that Australia has been able to pass a law enabling these zones giving respect to people seeking medical help. But not in NZ. (I have found a group at the entrance to a meeting place hearing about euthanasia. There is no limit to what these authoritarian ‘moralisers’, mostly women, will consider righteous action when judging and interfering in others’ lives.)

    But Campbell has thought further:
Footnote: Since the scrapping of the safe zones aspects of the abortion law reform is – arguably – inconsistent with the overall aims of (and requirements to protect patient/staff dignity) of the public health system, there should be nothing to stop Andrew Little and David Clark and Jan Logie from immediately introducing a new and separate piece of legislation, along the lines of Australia’s Safe Access Zones Act. If not, why not ?
    Yes, why not!

  3. “The European Union failed to take the same precautions and restrict travel from China and other hot spots. As a result, a large number of new clusters in the United States were seeded by travellers from Europe,” he said.
For mining resources the USA believes in being global, but for other matters like people, the national borders come down or up quickly – watch out for your feet and fingers. Infection in the USA? – it’s someone else’s fault – not good enough says Trump.
