Philip Arps deserves every second of the 21 months and NO this isn’t a free speech issue

White supremacist, Nazi sympathiser and all round wanker, Philip Arps went down for 21 months for his septic decision to share the horror of the Christchurch atrocity online with the special effects addition of cross hairs and body counter.

What a charming little piece of human shit this thug is.

Now I’m a huge free speech advocate and believe the decision to ban the Terrorists manifesto was the wrong thing to do and would argue against many of my woke comrades that Molyneux and Southern should be allowed to speak, but any attempt to suggest Arps is in any way shape or form a free speech champion should be attacked immediately.

Because he is not.

He is a vile and ghoulish individual who wanted to share a snuff film, he has all the moral worth and ethical value of a pedophile sharing child pornography with other criminals. No one needs to see the horror of that crime the way no one needs to see the horror of child pornography.

You can’t hold up the sharing of child porn as a freedom of speech issue, that doesn’t make you a Knight of Voltaire’s Round Table, it makes you a sick spectre of voyerisom  whose criminal gaze feeds on the toxic.

Fuck him! He should be thankful he is only receiving 21 months.

People who accidentally saw this, people who accidentally forwarded it we can show some forgiveness and leniency to, but that this damaged and warped person shared it for the mirth of cruelty is something we can all turn our head in disgust at.

Now, let’s get back to the case against Brenton Tarrant and the investigation into the lacklustre intelligence agencies who were too busy stalking Māori, Environmentalists, Greenpeace, the Greens and MANA to notice a white supremacist plotting a terror attack for two years.

PS – It’s funny how the Right only care about free speech when the Left have political power. I don’t remember any of the pundits of the right saying anything about Hager’s illegal search, the mass surveillance lies or Key’s attacks on journalists.

    The ChCh terrorist is now known to have interacted with other white supremacists and donated money to one ws group, and he should have been picked up on routine algorithms.

        I am technology fairly challenged, but I thought that all our meta data got scooped up and sent over to the USA where it was run through the algorithms, and that even
        “Shalom” or “Allahu Akbar” could trigger something, but nothing seemingly did with the AT, but I don’t know enough about the processes.

        I agree that ChCh and its people did not deserve to be sucked into such an evil mire. No-one did.

        • I am not so technically challenged, having worked in IT for many years. The guys writing the algorithms are mainly white, male incels so they are unlikely to want to point the machines in the direction of themselves or their friends. If this crime was going to happen the likeliest place in NZ was always Chch – this town has always been skinhead central.

  4. Yep. Well said Bomber. I’m cautious to say this but I’m a bit of an advocate of chipping certain humanoids. Then? We can down-load the ap and know when things like arps are close. Call it an extra set of whiskers, more sensitive hearing, better eye sight. Otherwise? We must pay to keep the bastard in jail where he can pollute and radicalise other dip shits.
    As for those who chose to watch tarrant and his handiwork? There are a lot of you, right? And that should worry the few of us.
    And who mixes up that ghoulish global stew? Who made the gun? Who made the bullets? In there, is where the answers lie. Who makes money out of such horrors. Chip them too. Especially them.

    Certainly it will be no deterrent to other racists.

    Any more than it is to any other perpetrator of any other type of crime.
    Prison is very rarely the answer.

    Its usually just a place to either get violently abused, violently abuse others, and/or meet ‘like minded souls’.

  6. I have worked with this fella a couple of times in the past through insulation work. the guy is a danger to society. As the judge said, his views are too entrenched for rehabilitation to be a possibility. I’m worried about what happens when he gets out.

    But I am more concerned for his kids. I understand that they are good boys who havent followed in there dads footsteps, do well in school and well behaved. They must be copping shit because of their dad. How do we protect these innocent victims of Arps psychopathy?

      Posting videos of murder, physical harm , snuff movies, child sexual abuse and rape, as well as animal cruelty are posting videos of crimes, and against the law

    • Well, he has convictions for burglary, fraud and sexual assault, so no he isnt just your average hard working kiwi. Also, much of his money has come from drug dealing.

  9. The Greens have been very keen to blame Pakeha indigenous white New Zealanders for the Christchurch mosque terrorist massacre…where is the evidence?

    • Red Buzzard, I’m not sure if that’s the real picture. All I know is that at the Auckland vigil for the Christchurch mosque victims, two Green women MP’s and two other young women, were widely reported as telling the assembled gathering, “White people hate us”, i.e. in New Zealand, white people hate brown skinned people, and frankly, that lie was the last message which anybody should have been giving to a shocked and grieving immigrant community.

      That was when I parted company with the Greens.

      I doubt if any of the women concerned even realised how very ignorant or wrong it was to portray the Muslim massacre as an outcome of Pakeha animosity or hatred – a couple of them sounded not the brightest, and I thought that they were really saying that they dislike white people, and I decided that the Greens can jump in the loch.

      I’d intended joining had Genter got the co-leadership, and they have a few good people and they others.

          It was the Greens lack of humanity towards a traumatised vulnerable group of persons that was chilling – telling strangers in a strange land that whites are out to get them.

          Presumably it was a Green caucus decision to reject PM Ardern’s powerful message that we are all one people, but whatever the politics, I think it was wrong and racist, and that they need to get out more and stop trying to cause trouble.

  11. I have called the murderer of those 51 innocent people at the two mosques as being the bullying runt of an ill-bred litter. The same wording applies to this particular diseased excuse for humanity.

    The sad reality of this world is it’s full of these sorts of people. They give humanity a bad name. Their ONLY purpose in existence to create, provoke and give hatred to anyone who doesn’t think like they do.

    Fortunately the majority of the NZ population are shocked and angered by what happened 3 months ago. We need to learn from it though and never to let such a thing happen again in New Zealand.

    And whilst there will be a minority in this country that may have cheered at the actions of the runt of the ill-bred litter at least we have all reacted better than they can ever deem themselves as being.

    Meanwhile, and this is in reference to the runt of the ill-bred litter(sorry his name does not merit mention), he is an Australian citizen. Surely Australia, who are only too eager to send back to NZ those who have committed crimes in Aussie, should be paying for the runt of ill-bred litter’s legal bill and possibly the rest of its natural life in a NZ prison?????!!!!!!

    New Zealand taxpayers who are law abiding, honest, hardworkers SHOULD NOT BE paying the legal bill etc for an Australian who came here and did so much damage in a matter of hours of one day. That just isn’t on.

  12. I may be the odd man out here, but I do question the wisdom of sending people to jail for posting or reading material which is deemed to be offensive.
    Arps is not the first case. Two previous cases that I am aware of were Muslim men found in possession of Al Qaeda propaganda.
    As has been pointed out those sentenced to prison for this kind of crime in New Zealand are often of limited intelligence or suffer from what could best be described as personality disorders.
    A more astute person reading or posting similar material would quite possibly avoid charges by presenting his opinions in a more sagacious fashion, or mounting a plausible legal defence.
    So the bloggers condemn these people who do come before the courts in their usual extravagant, overblown and abusive manner, and the New Zealand state commits the offenders to its prisons for reasonably lengthy periods.
    To what end? I expect that they would claim that by jailing people for publishing or reading politically offensive documents they are averting the possibility that these same people will commit actual atrocities.
    But I see no evidence to justify that belief.
    Instead, we should be focusing on the attitudes and conditions which give rise to political violence, and violence generally, in New Zealand society, which I suggest are much more extensive than the influences or effects of a few marginalized Al Qaeda or Nazi sympathizers.

    Sure he’s an appalling tosser and needed a slap on the wrist but this sentence should be compared to other sentences handed down in NZ. He’s received a longer sentence than some rapists and armed robbers!
    So in my view this is a political sentence, thus making him a political prisoner.

    You may be interested to know that whilst I was on holiday in Spain this week, they were showing excerpts from the infamous video as part of the news article on the massacre. So much for censorship!

    • It doesn’t matter what culture or country you are in. If you say something pro nazi, flash there emblems around. You can expect arrest. Even in Japan or Germany if you do that as a joke you can expert to be slowly surrounded and quarantined if you don’t buck up your ideas.

  14. No one gets “free speech” since to allow it would trample the equally legitimate rights of the rest of to go about our lives unmolested, unbullied and in relative safety. The words we utter to others must always be constrained by the contest of the rights of others.
    In this case the rights of a child to memories of their parents trumps all other rights so censorship is fully justified.
    Arps does not respect the rights of others and thus he represents a danger to the good order of our community which fully justifies his removal from our company.
