GUEST BLOG: Hadley Grace Robinson-Lewis – Simon Bridges in Parliament

I don’t see Simon as being a leader – he is still whinging like a triggered snowflake, who attempts to cruelly shoot people down by digging into their past… Jacinda joined the international socialists decades ago!

Why doesn’t the opposition focus on the real issues: Child poverty in NZ, the housing crisis, mental health, climate change, healthy homes.

I’m sure there are many more pressing issues in comparison to what Jacinda was interested in decades ago.

Finally, Simon Bridges is still a terrible leader.

  1. Nobody likes whingers and I think it is becoming obvious with the latest poor polling of soimon. The more he whingers the lower his ranking will become.

    • Polling is giving Bridges false hope. Before The National Party started experimenting on low wage single mothers on welfare they’re wasn’t much distinguishing National from Labour. Of course they had to differentiate themselves.

  2. Simon is the place holder, the new leader will be unveiled before the next election to get the ‘buzz’… and to lull Labour into a false sense of security in the mean time…

Also allows Labour to hang themselves with Nat Lite, plus taxes (that are not really taxes, but sort of maybe tax cuts, kinda redistribution Labour style like Student Fees in the 1980’s and Kiwbuild now, actually such complicated tinkering that middle NZ may need to pay thousands of dollars to an accountant they can work it out for you… to find out.. oh ok, yes don’t bother…

Clark sort of understood that everyone needs to be a winner in NZ, but post Clark Labour never got the memo… and more tries to please everyone with a hot mess of Natz Lite that nobody is happy with.

  3. Looking forward to the new leader being unveiled just before the election
they are so desperate to be in power they will do almost anything and they can’t be underestimated that is for sure. I doubt whether soimon will
rollover he seems to have his heart set on being our PM.

    • Yes, I agree.
I always read this blog and one thing that strikes me always is people dn’t realise how desperate these people are to get into power.
John Key made tens of millions more being PM than he ever would have been tucked away in a bank assassinating staff.
So whether you believe the charity BS or not is irrelevant. He did it as much for the money derived from implementing policy to favour himself and kick backs than he ever could imagine otherwise.

      • Duncan, key never said how much of his salary would be going to charity. He then set about removing the ‘charity’ research that would bring pay equity to women. He was too busy pulling their hair to care about half the population of NZ.

You’re right of course; he set in place people like Simon Upton in Westpac to help sell off our publicly-owned assets, Katherine Rich in a private business set up govt run/busines run advisory re stopping marketing of healthy foods for NZers.

What terrifies me most is what they had planned when they EXPECTED TO BE IN GOVT IN 2017; Businessroundtable/NZ initiative wanted the minimum wage to be removed and a us type of wage system to be instituted.

He was chair of the democrat union that engineered global treatment of workers rights/women’s rights.
Now he uses his directorships to engineer attacks on Labour, Air NZ engineers suddenly throwing their toys out because their rights and conditions were being attacked, etc etc.

He’s not wealthy enough from the backs of NZ workers, yet, Duncan. Still we don’t know what money from where came into the trust when key came into national. Was that the first instance of wealth buying candidacy in national? Someone will know.

  4. Audrey Young who is another media hack for the national party gloated in the herald that Bridges had won the session in Parliament yesterday because his colleagues – all the smiling assassins sitting behind him – were clapping and laughing. Like really – are you for real?

Audrey, analyse the question Bridges asked Jacinda Ardern. It was a non-question. It meant nothing and it was never going to go anywhere. There was no traction to it and the clapping and laughter from behind was contrived.

Your gleeful quip in the herald yesterday simply reflects the shallowness of your journalistic ability.

    • Then why does Mallard protect her so much? The moment she can’t answer a question, he jumps to her defense.

  5. Bridge’s McCarthyist attempt at discrediting Jacinda should be a warning to NZer’s who support an inclusive society- imagine him as PM?

  6. Bridges is a terrible leader and you are an imbecile.
Calling hin a snowflake whilst screaming “won’t someone think of the children” because he is having a go at Adern. What a pathetic joke.

Furthermore, she is fair game if she is going to use this time to claim small business experience. She would have been far better off to simply tell the truth which is that she has no experience in running a business.
Quite frankly her pathetic attempts at running her party exposes this reality anyway.

The only MPI in Labour that is fit to lead is Robertson who has done a great job so far. But he will never make leader because the Pacific Islands evangelicals would never accept him.

  7. I’ve been reading some of Simon Bridges’ tweets on Twitter. His comments are truly pathetic. The most uninspiring “leader” I’ve ever come across. All I can say is thank god he’s not ours.
