BREAKING: TVNZ POLL: Labour 43% National 41%

BOOM! Jacinda slams National with one of the greatest political come backs in modern NZ history…

…Labour 43% National 41% NZ First 8% Greens 5%.

Only a month ago Labour were at 23%.

What an incredible journey this election has become.

When you consider that a poll in Whangarei had Labour on 37%, we could see a Labour Party taking a majority Government without needing any coalition partner.

It now comes down to Jacinda’s performance in the debates. Labour are on the cusp of something truly incredible, the pent up frustration so many NZers feel has finally found vehicle in a leader with an extraordinary emotional intelligence.

This could be the beginning of a totally new political dynasty.

  1. Yes, female, former Nat voters are leaving Nats in drove, and some young voters express their preferences, they may have loved Key, now they love an aspirational Jacinda, nothing else has changed.

  2. Well, I guess that’s that then. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Bye, bye National.
That said, it does all seem awfully superficial, doesn’t it? After all, Jacinda is promoting the exact same policy as Little was trying to do. NZ, joining the US and Canada and France etc, has succumbed to a “democracy” hinging more on personality than politics. In the youtube generation, Jacinda is the political equivalent of “clickbait” (I’d call this “votebait”). English was always going to lose that race. Jacinda has yet to say a single thing to win me over, but I have to admit I’d vote for her just to cynically annoy the National faithful.

    • Haha, I remember when it was the B&H cup. Todd Barclay sure missed the golden years of his industry.

        • SAM,
Hope Barclay can’t swim did you mean?

He seemed to want to hide from the press back when Radio NZ was out looking for him last?

So my guess is that he may now be hiding out in Hawaii mowing the ex PM’s lawns and cleaning his pool?

          • Barclay needs to work on his political stain power. The money’s on his back kills any kind of critical debate. He can thank his masters for that lesson.

  3. blinglish slates the promise of free university as spending money to make more lawyers.

He can’t listen or read it appears. He can tell porkies

  4. We really are on the cusp of something special here.
Not the cusp of nine years of b..s and jellybeans like we have just had, but something tangible.
The poll result is a credit to Jacinda and her hard working team. Let’s hope that it provides a filip to an even better result on the 23rd.

    • Mike the lefty,
You can bet that will happen,

labour are now on fire finally and so is the country.

I am buoyed by the change everyone around me that was always looking sad and depressed suddenly has come alive with the prospect of finally breaking free of this nine years of NatZ enslavement and see a promise of a fresh start with a warm passionate human in leadership.

I am over the moon. ilovejacinda.

  5. Good polls for a Labour Light candidate, taking votes from light blues, ffs, this is depressing, ffs, this is depressing, we may as well all commit suicide. I rather recommend action:

But All Black adoring Kiwis rather sink into self inflicted suicide, that is the truth, fucking hopeless, a shit society here.

    • Tired of waiting for justice Marc? Like the ’35ists were, Savage was 65. It’s fun because the suffering do so in silence. Y’know , apart from violence. Mostly against one another, hence the tolerability. While there are mortgages the poor will have to wait. But apparently we are one of the better societies.

  6. In ground/above ground assets will be sold off as quickly under Labour as they are/were under National. I hope power balance goes to the little guys who really care about the country and not about their future political aspirations and c.v.’s.
Interesting statistic I found in Deagel.com (which I think is run by some U.S. Military outfit) is the marked drop in N.Z.’s population by 2025 : http://www.deagel.com/country/forecast.aspx?pag=3&sort=GDP&ord=DESC Now I know why the Nats were dragging their feet over building more homes. They were waiting for the departure of 1.1 plus million to whoknowswhere by whoknowswhat means.

    • Shit Helena you are in a serious state there.

Better to hope now in Jacinda since we have seen the results of 9 yrs of hell we have been through and hope for change.

Jacinda has been solid on “first we have to serve the people”!!!!

This was said last night as Bullshit Bill was saying “the business community can’t live on your intentions but facts”

  7. Labour voters and Green voters, don’t get too comfortable.

If either NZ First or Greens don’t get 5% their votes would help
    National.

So campaign to neighbors friends and family. This is to the wire!!!

Donate because the red team don’t have deep blue team’s foreign pockets.

We need to win for all those who have had a rotten 9 years and for the children.
