This June marks 50 years since the end of the Six Day War, and 50 years since Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories. Dayenu – New Zealand Jews Against Occupation will be holding a candlelight vigil on June the 12th to mark this historically sad milestone, and recognise 50 years of resistance to military occupation.
There will be speakers who will talk about the reality of the occupation, and give insights into the conditions it creates and the effects on the people that suffer because of it.
Please join us at 6 pm on June 12th in Aotea Square.
We will be providing candles, but make sure to dress warmly.
WHEN: Monday June 12th 6pm-9pm
WHERE: Aotea Square
