Why Murray McCully is really stepping down & why we shouldn’t get excited about National Party reshuffle

Muzza is standing down at the next election. He’s doing so because Key is no longer around to protect him.

What many and most in the corporate mainstream media have missed about the Saudi Sheep bribe is why Muzza did it.

Here is the most important moment in the Saudi Sheep bribe timeline.

When the Saudi businessman who the bribe was given to, Hmood Al Ali Al Khala, met John Key before Key was Prime Minister, Key gave Hmood Al Ali Al Khala  an assurance that once National were in Government, they would reverse the law against live sheep exports. Once in power however, Key was advised not to reverse the law because it would cause massive environmental protests and backlash. THIS is why Muzza went ahead with the bribe and this is why Muzza had been protected all this time, because Muzza was covering for Key’s promise.

Now Key has gone, Muzza has no more protection.

While seeing the end of such a vicious piece of right wing filth is cause for celebration, we shouldn’t get excited by this sudden culling of useless National Party Cabinet Ministers. What’s causing this cleansing are restless hard right backbenchers who Bill English must appease to keep the Party from tearing itself to pieces.

The problem for the National Leadership is that the reactionary angry white rump of the Party want an idealogical battle. To date National have limited that war on beneficiaries and anyone desperate enough to need the neoliberal welfare state, middle NZ and property speculating NZ have been left alone. This push by the hard right backbenchers to move up the ranks is a reason for more concern, it’s not evidence of rats jumping from a sinking ship.

  1. “the hard right backbenchers”

Who are these people? With which frontbenchers are they affiliated? Have they actually DONE anything either inside or out of parliament – or do they simply trot the line and hand over donations?

Of this flock/herd/pack, who has enough pixie points to be jostled into an associated minister’s position or something even more glorious?

Names. Facts. (I simply don’t have the depth of insider goss to know and I’m nosey enough to want a few named bobbing heads in my petrie dish) TIA.

PS Isn’t it just lovely to anticipate seeing the (clothed) rear end of Machiavelli Murray, the ‘master strategist’ for the National Party? They don’t produce too many like that. Do they?

Well there’s several ways to look at this , one might be to let the far right simmer and grab the popcorn for the internecine war in National.

Or, … that frustration boiling over into another Jenny Shipley style bloodless coup ,… especially if the Double Dipper is appearing as if hes dragging the party down in the polls again.

Particularly if he seems set to deliver another stunning defeat like he did last time. You can only hang on to someones else’s kudos for so long ,… and Blinglish aint Key.

Once again…. its grab the popcorn time.

The other factor is …. I cant even BEGIN to imagine the nightmare David Farrar is going to be having in 2017 trying to make a silk purse out of this proverbial sows ear with this divided rabble.

The stage act of Key is gone, they can no longer suck off the teet and ride on the guys coattails. Even the dynamic duo of Brownlee and Blinglish couldn’t pull of the photo ops in Kaikoura today without ballsing it up and looking stupid.

    Its gonna implode.

And btw …. one of Winnies bottom lines for coalition is reentry into Pike River mine ,…. so if National don’t include him… it aint gonna be good for them. And if they do include him?… and they reenter that mine and find inconvenient evidence ?… that REALLY aint gonna be good for them.

    At all.

  3. McCully, Parata, Foss, Loto Iiga et al. All rats leaving the sinking ship now boss ratty Key is going.

Seems all Key’s sycophantic patsy pixies are leaving. Perhaps they realize Blinglish is not prepared to put up with their uselessness any longer, so decided walking out the door is the better option, before being unceremoniously shoved!

Yep the Fascist right are emerging and “Blue hard right” is the future if we don’t kill them off come election time Martyn.

    • CLEANGREEN;

Shadow Government is known to play the Long Game:

What if the dumping of Collins to the backbenchs is a ploy.? To put to sleep?

What if English and Bennett are designed to be the ‘patzies’ to take the fall?

What if the guts of World Financial Collapse is timed to occur in Labour’s term (and Trump.)??

What if Major War were timed for 2020, 2022 or 2023.???

These time lines are a pattern already seen in history.

If I were a Globalist,I could not think a better Image than ‘Crusher’ Judith Collins,
to head the new emergency Gvt entering extreme crises, the Face of Martial Law.

Whether it’s 4ys,6yrs,……. mmmmmm.? What If?

      She good with guns????

      Cheers.

  5. So long, Muzza, and thanks for all the cringe-worthy and gag reflex-inducing moments. One question though. Who will the nats look to now for bribery and corruption par excellence?
