Now, dear readers, what are the odds of a Malasian diplomat deciding to follow Tania home from a bus stop, apparently at random? What are the odds of him picking a woman that is befriended with and herself involved in women’s issues going back many years? What are the odds of him randomly standing there not touching her, then, backing off and waiting for police to arrive out in the street? What are the odds of Green MP Jan Logie getting involved, erm, randomly? What are the odds of a situation that has NONE of the hallmarks of an attempted rape, being shopped by TV3 as attempted rape and the label “Rape culture” being used to intimidate and shut up critics like ourselves lest we look insensitive to (real!) rape victims?

Currently Cam is following up on his disastrous Decade of Dirt Party flop, Whaleoil merchandise flop and his awful book flop with a monthly email that you can pay for to hear most of the players involved in Dirty Politics say hateful stuff in private. With so much to still be revealed in the Matthew Blomfield defamation case, Colin Craig defamation case and the pending decision on his prosecution, Cam may have his hands a bit full to find time to edit a monthly email.
But now he has his bff the Crusher up there in cabinet once again, with the ear of the police, Cam baby will be reborn with confidence, throwing the crap at all and sundry who get in the way of FJK and Jude.
What a right-wing rag his blog is! Not that much different to the shock-jocks you’d find in the States. I once posted a few mild comments to his blog that weren’t even political really, and he banned me.
No solutions for the modern world at all, just 19th century capitalism with hearty dollops of political incorrectness seems to be his prescription for everything.
You know in the foolishness of my youth I once passed through a Libertarian phase, so I sort of know where he’s coming from with his economic views- self-righteous black-and-white thinking, combined with selfishness, combined with a highly naive world-view. I eventually realized the neo-liberal stuff was all mostly bullshit and all the evidence is against it; it’s the liberal-left societies (i.e Scandinavian countries of Europe) that generally have by far the highest overall standards of living.
What’s disturbing though, is not so much the right-wing economics, but more the way he seems to actively relish bashing and berating any person or group who has suffered misfortune , or is downtrodden or vulnerable.
I doubt WO will ever be able to make a come back to the glory/gory days.
