Is there anything the PM won’t do to get his vanity project through?

After telling NZ there was no way Red Peak would be in the referendum.

After telling NZ that his p[reference was the Silver fern.

After wasting all that money on a deeply flawed process selection, Key now says he’ll vote for Red Peak.

Unbelievable!

The PM has lied, u-turned, manipulated and lied again to get this bloody flag nonsense through. Why bother with the process if he was just going to make a selection based on bloody twitter retweets?

This is the most valueless, shallow Prime Minister in NZ history, and NZers love him.

  1. …all I see from the PM in response to any question harder than is it raining outside? is a goofy smug half caught cheating guilty embarrassed look on his face until he says ‘arp yah that’s nuff’ then back to Mr grim and he is off – its like trying to pin down a hagfish in a pool full of liquid soap.

  2. I hate to back our greasy leader, but Key said he’d vote for the red peak if it wins the first round and is up against that colonial rag we’re currently flying.

This is still completely in line with Key’s views from day one – he wants the flag changed. And this doesn’t mean that his preference is no longer the weetbix box coloured All Blacks logo.

There’s a million reasons to kick the donkey in the nuts, but this isn’t one IMO.

    • It is fashionable to dis the Union Jack…however the Union Jack also represents the Treaty of Waitangi….a Treaty between two peoples Maori and Pakeha (one of my Maori ancestors signed it)….a Treaty which indigenous peoples around the world are envious of ( I was once told this by and Aborigine leader )…a Treaty which is the founding document of New Zealand law and Maori rights under this law…ok it isnt perfect and it is contestable

…and if you think the British were bad colonialists have a chat with some Tibetans…and do a bit of research on the state of Tibet now under the Chinese!….or talk to the Algerians about French colonialism…or Middle Eastern and South American peoples about the USA

Most New Zealanders want to keep their flag especially the young and the elderly…LISTEN to them!…it represents their values, their history , their culture

…wipe this away at your peril…especially now with the country ruled by jonkey nact and the international corporates( Goldman Sachs)…and with USA corporate TPPA looming

However sadly there will always be some ‘radical lefties’ and MPs and political parties who think they know better than the masses and the people they are supposed to represent ….Pol Pot was one of them, Mao was another … extreme cases admittedly

      • “It is fashionable to dis the Union Jack”

Yes, and so it should be…I wouldn’t wipe my arse with the butcher’s apron.

“however the Union Jack also represents the Treaty of Waitangi”

Yes, a half truth, but I want to change the NZ flag to the tino rangatiratanga flag. I’d rather get rid of the colonial shit-stain and replace it with something that represents Maori. Let’s not pretend the union jack isn’t a colonial badge.

“…and if you think the British were bad colonialists have a chat with some Tibetans…and do a bit of research on the state of Tibet now under the Chinese!….or talk to the Algerians about French colonialism…or Middle Eastern and South American peoples about the USA”

Thanks for the history lesson, but that means fuck all to my Maori friends…in fact it’s insulting to minimise the colonisation of Maori by pointing towards other examples of violence.

“Pol Pot was one of them, Mao was another”

I have no idea of what you are trying to say. Feel free to go back to my post and actually respond to what I was saying. Perhaps you posted in the wrong thread?

    • The Prime Minister of this country has every right to change his stance whenever he wants to. People change views when given compelling evidence to the contrary.

A very close friend of mine told me in confidence that he was a protester during the Springbok Tour, but didn’t like the riff-raff he had to rub shoulders with during the protests. And now he is best buddies with senior rugby players and doesn’t associate with the likes of Hone Hart and his ilk. So just get off the PM’s back.

John Key is a reformist and what’s wrong with that? He used to think that touching ponytails was appropriate and having been given compelling evidence that tail-pulling is off limits, has “reformed” his ways. So just get off the PM’s back.

The left-wing media in this country need to wake up and smell the roses. The PM is in charge of a rock-star economy, so just get off the PM’s back.

  3. Well Martyn, this NZer doesn’t like him!

FJK hunts with the hounds and runs with the hares. Whatever gives him the most advantage he will go along with.

He’s like a festering sore on the face of Aotearoa.

Off topic I know – but I’m still trying to come to terms with bloody traitor James Shaw assisting FJK to save face on the flag issue by doing a deal with him! Selling – Soul – Devil comes to mind here! Quite a shock to me!

  4. Key is a treasonous little turd that is f#$&£*g this country over. The master of creating distraction about the issues that really matter, TPPA and our undying devotion to US Hegemony, supported quite ably by the weak presstitute stenographers that attempt to pass themselves off as the, informed media. Give me a break ya bunch of overpaid, braindead autocue readers.
Key dismisses the poll, that reckons 75% dont want a flag change as totally inaccurate, not hesitating to take into account that the same poll still rates that wanker as NZs preferred Prime Minister.
He will be fine watching the sheeple of NZ from Hawaii wondering who shanked them from behind.

    220 lies and counting John.

  5. Take something that requires a lot of national unity such as a project like choosing a nations flag, add the poison that is John Key and get this fractured cluster fuck!

He is taking such delight and thinks he is ever so clever causing the disruption he has in the opposition party’s. Yes they took the bait, yes the Greens are bunch of dumb arses, but what an arsehole is our Prime Minister. His leadership is one of disunity and dysfunction for personal gain! He opitimises deceit, it oozes from his very being.

And all this for a stinking flag!

Meanwhile don’t look now but they’re sneaking in some very draconian employment legislation, .

  6. Well James Shaw and the Greens enablers of jonkey will be Ok with this..RED PEAK flag of jonkey’s choice

…in fact it was probably a jonkey trojan false flag all along..after all it is the emblem of a security firm in Britain

    …irony ?

  7. I wonder if the media are going to play over and over ( a la David Cunliffe type treatment ), the footage of Key on TV 1 Breakfast telling the interviewer that ,” look , at the end of the day, even if we wanted the Red Peak Flag in the mix , we simply can’t because we would be breaking the law .”
The rather startled interviewer then pointed out that he had just changed the law overnight to allow more people to get trolleyed in the middle of the night.
” Oh but that’s different”, came his weak reply .
This is a huge own goal by Key and National ; an election loser in fact.
The opposition would be wise to distance themselves from it and watch it all unfold in slow motion!

  8. The sneaky little fucker . That’s exactly what I thought he’d do . Play a cunning trick with the unsuspecting while we watch on in horror.
We’re going to lose our country.
Once we’re severed from the Crown we’ll be up for grabs.

    • or the trojan horse flag … really Key has outsmarted the Left except for Winston Peters/NZF who has stood staunch and hasn’t been fooled

      • 100% Winton is the only politician here that knows what way is up, so when he won’t budge you can be sure it is for a very good reason so “experience counts at this time.

  9. Key dosnt give a hoot for the flag business ,its the implications of not being associated with the commonwealth .Key just wants us Americanised.
Key is determined to make NZ an safe haven for the cabals ,they know whats going to happen to America thanks to their evil manipulations.
An article in GEOPOLITICS explains it all,. Wake up New Zealand comments on the article.
These articles are must read ,it explains the plan is the demise of NZ s
and the takeover of cabals. Key knows we are on to his lies and traitorous behaviour, but he believes everything the cabals want is entrenched and possibly irreversible.
Read about the damage to mental health from Chemtrails which contain aluminium etc , the people I know who “lose words ” and have to wrack their brains for names and even forgetting what they went room to room to do something and cant remember what, im not talking about just older people but people in their twenties and thirties,
    Its become quite endemic.
1080 poisoning of forests and the effects to the food chain, how many people had no fruit on certain trees ,home garden crops very poor. Why do the people who tip loads of 1080 in forests work in total coveralls with oxygen masks gloves etc . 1080 dosnt just kill possums , there is no label on the pellets that says “possums only”.
The land in NZ is being bought out not just by Chinese people ,but the cabals are asking for large tracts of land ,to hide out in .
No im not some nutty conspiracy theorists ,I have an inate knowing that what I read is true.
Read the articles for yourselves and see the pattern of Keys compliance with the cabels.

  10. Look, I can’t stand the guy, but whether you like our current flag or not , flag change is a legitimate issue with a large amount of support from NZers. It pre-dates John Key by a long way. A referendum is justified. If it didn’t occur on John Key’s watch, it would have occurred on another PM’s eventually and that PM would have milked it for all it’s political worth, just as John Key is doing. That’s what politicians do.

I support flag change and would like to see a healthy debate on the subject itself, rather than whatever political conspiracy is allegedly behind each step of the process. I am not a huge fan of the final designs, but this is a question of taste not of politics. The fact that there are two silver ferns in the final design is to me a statement of the obvious fact that many NZers readily identify with it as a national symbol, not a sign that the process has been held hostage to political or corporate interests. Likewise, the belated inclusion of Red Peak in the final designs was an appropriate democratic response from Government, not an act of political manipulation.

I repeat that I abhor John Key. But it seems that amongst his opponents I am one of the few that is about to maintain that hatred and support flag change, without getting these two things confused.

Even if there is some John Key evil behind the flag debate, how can such a sin possibly compare with his attitudes towards child poverty, refugees, his corporate cronyism or his political dirty tricks? It can’t. The flag debate is irrelevant to John Key just as John Key is irrelevant to the flag debate. So, let’s stop connecting the two.

  11. We just hope shonkey resigns in a moment of awakening guilt as all the pain and suffering he has dragged us through.

It’s not unthinkable, as his poll rating is dropping consistently since 2011 and the Ponytail-gate saga affair.

US Speaker of the house John Boehner the kingpin of conservative politics has today resigned in tears after a chat with the pope in Washington.

Perhaps we need to ask Pope to chat with Nasty NatZ Keyster to do the honourable thing also after he has fractured and bitterly divided the whole country now for all our good..
