and would some Power the gift he give us
to see ourselves as others see us
It would from many a blunder free us
and foolish notion
What airs in dress and gait would leave us
and even devotion.
If Government correctly used the people’s money (taxes) to: house the less well off, ensure warmth and food for all, push forward with equality and liberty for all, family violence would be non-existent.
Question those who call themselves the ones in power should ask is: when all this is done and dusted, how will we treat them (I’m thinking of the French Revolution, of course). Perhaps we will give them cake. Naah. Perhaps not.
