  1. Bravo Labour, the commander of the US Pacific Command Admiral Harry B. Harris arrives in New Zealand for a week of warmongering,(oops i mean ‘talks’), and Labour start screaming anti-Chinese rhetoric,

Where we are going to find a ‘internment camp’ of such a robust size to house our asian population when the real shit hits the fan is beyond the scope of my small intelligence to be able to ascertain but i am sure our ‘Leaders’ will think of something along with a myriad ‘reasons’ for its necessity,

Labour ‘standing up’ for Kiwi home ownership, or, Labour brown-nosing the US warmongers???,

Neither question is mutually exclusive but i for one view with suspicion a Labour Party that has nothing to offer the electorate except racially divisive rhetoric based upon highly suspect stolen information….

      “Stolen”?

Do you have evidence for that claim?

I always get a bit suspicious to the motivations of critics referring to “stolen” information (or “stolen” emails). It means they don’t like the disclosures that’ve been made public, and attempt to deflect to a so-called “moral high ground”. In effect, attacking the whistleblower rather than addressing the issues/problems made public.

Do you think we’re mature enough to discuss the problem, Bad12?

      • Yes Frank stolen, as in not given freely by whichever realestate company such information was ‘leaked’ from so as Phil Twyford could use it in the manner he did,

i am going to be well amused at some point in the future when you, as you will, rant and rave as National, in opposition reveal information not favorable to a Labour lead coalition Government that was not theirs to use in such a manner,

i would suggest Frank that you ”always get suspicious’ of the motivations of any commenter that does not strictly adhere to your opinion,

IF i had a wish to address the issue made public by Twyfords use of what is essentially useless information i would have done so in one of the many Posts on the subject,

What i ask in my comment above is an entirely different question that has not been addressed as far as i can ascertain in a Post…

As always, Bad12, that depends on whether it is in the public interest.

Slater and Ede poking around, illegally, in Labour’s computer, taking details of names and credit card details, was not in the public interest.

If a National Party activist came across an email that indicated that a Labour MP(s) had recieved support from, say, SkyCity, in return for considerations, then yes – that would be in the public interest. We would have a right to know, and that National Party activist would be justified.

It’s interesting that when information comes to light that is embarressing to a political party, it’s supporters will reflexively jump to the moral high ground, crying, “Theft! Theft!”

The question is, Bad12, how else do you expect inconvenient truths to be made public? Or is secrecy at all times paramount in your worldview? Especially if it embarresses the Party of your choice?

          • What Twyford accomplished ‘in the public interest’???Pfft,

No Frank, Honesty in my worldview is always paramount, using those figures as Twyford did blandishing them as some form of ‘proof’ is at the least dishonest…

  2. ‘EU fiasco?’

“Quagmire and fiasco are only two words to describe the condition of the European Union and the eurozone after the democratic choice of the Greek people. In the end the IMF’s crisis-mongering strategy failed and the Brussels leadership completely miscalculated. So-called Western values are lying in tatters.

‘Goldman Sachs could face lawsuit for helping hide Greek debt – report’

    http://rt.com/business/273208-greece-goldman-debt-lawsuit/

“A former Goldman Sachs banker suggested Greece start legal action against his former employer over complex financial deals that helped the country hide its national debt in 2001 and continue borrowing despite its poor economy, the Independent reports.

The banking giant made as much as $500 million from the transactions known as “swaps”, which translated Greek debts issued in dollars and yens into euros, the British daily says. The figure is, however, disputed by Goldman, which refuses to state an exact number. The deals were prepared by Antigone Loudiadis, who reportedly received $12 million a year for the job…
