Amos is all class. Dignified while raunchy, his take on multiculturalism and race is unique and biting. Sadly some dickhead tried to heckle at the beginning and was dissected mercilessly throughout the show. My guess is that a queer, black comedian touring the world will have had his share of hecklers and would have a thousand cutting comebacks. He did. They were weepingly good.

Amos has toured here previously and the show was clearly packed with many fans. He is a favourite of mine because his intelligent banter and observations are as clever as they are smart. He is one of the must sees of this festival and it’s a guaranteed good night out.

I was surprised by how open he was with his love life and the real hurt he communicated which showed a courage as a comedian that only lifted my regard for his talent.

He is cosmopolitan brilliance and charm at its funniest. Seriously don’t miss this.
