So… New Zealand rejects most of the intellectual property chapter. Isn’t this a good thing?
This morning on National Radio I heard some business dude stating that Russell Norman was scaremongering because anything thing that gets signed still has to be approved by a select committee. (?)
Later an email was read out on air saying that we don’t have this oversight so basically whatever gets signed is binding.
Can someone with a better knowledge of our legal/parliamentary system confirm either statement for me?
I was driving to work and focusing on the traffic so my attention was elsewhere..
