Oh isn’t a year a long time in Political history? Labour Party Conference 2012

The Daily Blog is pleased to announce that we will be covering the 2013 Labour Party Conference from Christchurch Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this weekend.

Chris Trotter and I will be talking to the Labour Party players and policy movers along with the rank and file to find what beats in the chest of the Labour Party in 2013 as it moves into election year.

This blog was started as a response to the manner in which senior Union officials and Labour Party MPs did all they could to choke off democratization in the Labour Party at the last Labour Party Conference and the extraordinary manufactured leadership crises the mainstream media whipped up.

It is still my contention having witnessed it first hand, that the mainstream media pundits completely misread the genuine desire by the affiliates and the membership to have a real say in the way the Party was run, and they mutilated that drive for democratization into a leadership challenge by Cunliffe. This mutilation of what was really happening was used by the ABCs to defame David and viciously demote him.

Watching those mainstream media pundits spin a web of lies to manufacture a leadership challenge was the final catalyst within myself to decide a counter blog was needed to the msm narrative and thus was born this site, The Daily Blog.

We will be keeping an eye out for Patrick Gower to start claiming that David Shearer is launching a leadership coup.

  1. Yaaay! I only wish I had found this blog earlier. I am sick of that nasty little troll Paddy Gower manufacturing dramas around the Labour party, while giving national free reign. If I ever see that disgusting little bottom dweller I might have a hard time not kicking him where his nuts should be. I guess it behoves them to support the party that will support their unjustifiably high salaries.

  2. Great work, may your blog go from strength to strength.

I look forward to reading your coverage of the conference, hopefully with a few button hole interviews with some of the leading figures and grass roots members, thrown in to give a bit of context and colour.

    Cheers best wishes J.

  3. Is it true that David Shearer has been seen on a private party with Judith Collins lately? Haha, maybe a joke, but I am not so sure, what is going on, is anybody knowing?

Is Shearer starting his own party, jumping ship, or is Helen holding a back door open at the UN?

Yes, keep that Gower vulture well clear from the conference entrance, he overstayed his presence for too long, I am astonished he still has a job with TV3.

  4. Good one guys. Look forward to some concise, objective reporting for a change. I’ll be tuning in to this site for the conference news.
