This week it’s Conservation Week AND Shark Week.
Shark Week has 5 events in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch including discussions at Auckland Museum (Weenesday 6.30pm), Te Papa Museum (Thursday 5.30pm) and Paenga Tawhiti High School (Friday 7.00pm). There are also family friendly events at Kelly Tarltons (Saturday 10.00am) and Island Bay Marine Education Centre (Sunday all day).
Conservation week has more events than I can list here. There is lots of stuff happening locally. There are art exhibitions, colouring competitions, working bees, walks, planting days, BBQs, seminars, tours, open days, stream restorations and the list goes on and on and on. Pick something to do and get out and support NZ conservation byu planting a tree, learning something new, or rekindling your love for our beautiful country.
