  1. I won’t hold my breath waiting for the contents of the leaked e-mails to appear in the Main Stream Media!
Sadly this will further cement ACT in as the ‘haven’ for Right Wing voters, thus widening our political divide and destroying chances for reasoned political debate and compromise.

    1. I think you’ll find the problem is lack of debate and tribally based governance being introduced by stealth.

      1. Last time I looked there was endless debate in Parliament where proposals are supposed to be debated. All sessions of Parliament are broadcast so how is ‘stealth’ involved?

  2. Dirty politics, ugly politics, call it what you want. I call it the National Party.

    1. Race baiting is dirty Frankie and that is what it is no matter how you try to spin it. It worked for Brash, Collins hopes it will work for her.And no need to ask why it is race baiting if you’re intelligent as you think you Frankie. Laws don’t need to be broken for something to be described as dirty, think Michell Boag.

  3. Would the Orewa speech be considered hate speech now and would Don Brash get arrested and imprisoned for it?

  4. After Brash’s Orewa speech, Natz support went from 22% to 47%. They had the support of the right-wing media. The right-wing media have done their best to get national and Act back in power and now they’re desperate.

The fore shore and sea bed debate followed on from it – if Labour didnt change the F & S law Brash would have got in to power and would have had no Maori seats or Maori party. Natz got in next time and didnt change things much. The Maori party were just used by Key – it was treason for Maori politics to support the Tories. It was a shock to see Hone, Mair, and rest of MP in the Tory camp. They wont do that again. MP were dog tucker from the start.

  5. Judith: Shall I call him “D Brash”? No, too obvious. Let’s go with “Don B”. Yes, that will do.

  6. ‘To repeat a lie you believe is true is ignorance.

To repeat a lie you know to be untrue is evil.’
    and the famous statement.
    THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS!
Ayone who has ever talked to a National Party member knows how firmly they hold to the belief that only they are born to rule and any tactic that returns them to power is justifiable.

  7. The only questions are, which political party -National or LINO- constitutes the bigger farce and the bigger threat to survival?

It seems to me that LINO are in the lead as the bigger farce and the bigger threat to survival at the moment simply because they are in power:

‘In the same year that the government declared a climate emergency, imports of an especially dirty type of coal from Indonesia topped a million tonnes for the first time since 2006.

Last year, 235 kilograms of overseas coal was imported for every New Zealander in order to power homes and businesses. This is also only imported coal; the country also produces coal domestically.

Ninety-two percent of the imported coal was from Indonesia, and the vast majority of that was a low grade, high emissions type – sub-bituminous coal.

“Not only are we burning more coal, [but] it’s the dirtiest coal. And it comes from Indonesia where the conditions and the mining is appalling,” Cindy Baxter, an environmental campaigner, said.

In recent years, low lake levels meant our biggest electricity generator – hydroelectricity – has produced less energy than normal. Natural gas supply has been inconsistent. Coal has been increasingly used as a fuel of last resort to keep the lights on in our homes and businesses.

It’s also the world’s worst fossil fuel, emitting far more greenhouse gases than any other. It produces carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxides, particulate pollution and heavy metals.

Coal imports from Indonesia in 2020 totalled 1.084 million tonnes, or just over one billion kilograms. Australia’s the only other significant exporter of coal here, sending over about 10 percent of Indonesia’s total, 95 million kilograms.

New Zealand’s imported more than a million tonnes from Indonesia only twice in the last 20 years – 2020 and 2006.

Almost all of it last year – 910 million kilograms – was sub-bituminous coal which must be burned in greater quantities to achieve the same energy output.’

  8. Stop talking shit xstraight you don’t know what you are talking about with your outdated racist bigoted uneducated uninformed views. And you don’t know what it is like to be treated like a second class citizen in your own country, to have your land and language taken and almost wiped out, to not get MRIs or cat scans or the best medications, to not be referred to a clinician when you present to your GP or a hospital with an illness and by the time you do its too late. Then there is applying for jobs only to be told you missed out and they give the job to a Pom whose been here for 5 minutes cause he or she is the same colour as the person doing the employing. Then we have government agencies that housed us in ghetto state housing areas with cold homes with no carpet or heating but if you were white you got a nice state home in a nice area. And the ghettos we were housed in have now been gentrified thanks to the National party. And last of all Mr racist seen you think you know so much about Maori, can you explain why so many indigenous peoples throughout the world share the same negative statistics?
