  1. Considering the Government acknowledges many workers haven’t been receiving their fair share of national growth, it’s disappointing they aren’t doing more to correct this.

    For example, there is no plans for the minimum wage to become the living wage.

    Moreover, where the Government has an opportunity to become more interventionist, they opt not too.

    Take the recently announced $5.8 million given to a budding plant nursery in the Bay of Plenty.

    Chairman Bronco Carson said the nursery would hire another 81 employees to take its total staff count to 90.

    Yet, their was no mention the Government funding would come with a condition employees receive a living wage.
