Winston Peters’ New Zealand First party is starting election year on a high, recording its best-ever result in the Taxpayers’ Union-Curia poll out today.
The poll results, if reflected on election day, would see the current coalition Government re-elected, but National continues to trail Labour in the party vote.
Winston Peters will be the toxic political fart of Nigel Farage this election.
NZF are simply the worst.
We are never getting them back and Labour needs to understand their sectarianism. These are the protesters that Trevor Mallard radicalised on Parliament’s lawns. They are NEVER coming home to Labour. EVER! Labour have permanently lost 5% of the vote because of the stunts Mallard pulled.

Based on NZFs track record in destroying and plundering our environments whilst pandering to the super rich and the current reminders of global warming throughout our country. I think if the Greens provide sound and evidence based environmental policies they will do well in the next election. Sometimes it is better to play the ball and not the man. I like Chippy but he needs to lay off the bald one for now who is playing it quiet and sitting back while leaving the dirty work to others but behind the scenes really nothing has changed. At the moment the bald one is trying to look like the caring PM when after two- and a-bit years we all know this is not true.

Until everyone understands the power and authority structure with our politics and how that determines the continued control of the country we live in and that they are not in parliament to protect and introduce policy that affects many of us then we will be sold out every time and asked to vote to allow them to do it.
Chloe should be in LINO or build a new movement leading a grassroots campaign to bring what Labour is meant to stand for back for the people with a policies and a vision of what can be done without all those who are in the parliament to represent their monied interests who ever the government or largest party is in our country.

I could well be thinking into Conspiracy Theory thoughts but I am more than rather puzzled about this Weird Conglomeration of juxtapose members of the NZ First MPs.
Some of them consist of Waka Jumpers for their Own Intents and Purposes. They have No Interest in what is in the Best Interest for NZ and NZers but more likely What They Can Get out Something for Themselves and Their Egos(however Prolific that even is).
For example in 2019 Nicola Willis showed her Hatred of Shane Jones with this statement: Nicola Willis 2019: “It’s not right that the Government can find $3 billion for the Shane Jones slush fund but it can’t afford life-saving drugs…New Zealanders shouldn’t have to set up Givealittle pages just to stay alive”.
Fast forward to today 2026 and whilst Shame Jones in 2010 said when a Labour MP about being against mining he has become its Greatest Advocate for Mining for Gas and Oil since Mining Disasters Reporting began.
Is it because there has been some Big Business Influence and Donations towards those Self-Serving politicians who are not exactly Ethical in their Sense of Responsibility and Accountability for Their Actions and Sense of Entitlements????!!!!
I feel MMP has become the creator of Self-Serving Politicians who view us NZ Voters and Taxpayers are the Gravy Boats to Self Gain for Themselves and whilst in an election year they are All Courting Us that Outside of Election Time we are Discarded or more likely Tossed onto the Scrap Heap when It Suits Them.
