  1. Depends. Does Winston think putting up with austerity is good for Winston? Does austerity target those who his base think are the undeserving poor? If so he’ll be fine with it.

    1. He’ll be gone from Parliament if he does trigger another election, so it’s probably not good for Winston.

  2. Whatever. I’ve always thought this coalition will not last the distance. Too many egos and diverse directions.
Which makes it even more important that any left-leaning, potential coalition get their act together right now – and fast!
But have they got the willingness and leadership/personnel to do it?
Otherwise…. any future for A/NZ does not look a good one at all, especially for our grandchildren!

  3. LOL, Winston loves austerity. Look at last time he was in government with National. The guy cut the sickness benefit, and tried to privatise pensions. He even started out on the economic right of the National party back in 1979.

  4. Casey Costello. Surely the most inept, corrupt and stupid MP we have had in living memory.

    1. I dunno… we still have another two and a half years to be proven wrong.

    2. Absolutely and closely followed by Simian Browne.
He is going to be shown as brainless very quickly because he cannot understand that money needs to be spent before the driver gets on the digger so he knows where to dig.
Then add Shane “MATUA” Jones for a little corruption coupled with Willis and Luxon even more incompetent than Browne. Good help us.
The opposition doesn’t actually have to do much at the moment, the foundation is being laid for them.

      1. so right bro ,just sit back while they fuck every thing up and one of the ferries sinks and 300 get drowned and no houses get built and the homeless numbers reach 500k

  5. Call a snap election? Oh I do hope so. The notion of Seymour as deputy makes a Bill English pizza seem almost palatable. Luxon as invisiblised as Bishop’s dad’s sausage rolls would be better still.

  6. Come on Chris, National & Labour have had shockingly stupid mps, a list to big to name, that make Costello look highly promising.

Shane said this week NZ First are looking vat a 12 year govt. So won’t be any snap.

  7. I think you may well be onto something there Martyn.
That idea went thru my thoughts too.

  8. Winston Peters may well behave himself because he has got Luxon exactly where he wants him. Seymour and Peters are egging each other on . Peters mainly in parliament in the name of Luxon and Seymour with his own twisted ways. At the moment the only one at risk is Luxon because he is so weak and inept. .

    1. “ Weak and inept” may well describe the odious man, but the very sight of him is now as repugnant as that of Shipley, Key, and that dreadful little Ruth Richardson. He has to go. Seymour has blotted his copybook hitting on hungry children and he has to go too.
