  1. Well, it looks simple, the Hikoi is protesting government actions, while Destiny is running a self promotion campaign with (empty it looks now) threats of violence towards people. One of these actions is naturally a threat to Govt while the other is actually in support of certain Govt actions, hence, the behavior of the strong arm of Govt, the Police. But who actually knows! Perhaps Destiny is nothing more than a useful idiot in service to this particular Govt, they do seem ideologically rather similar to each other. On the world stage, this plays out quite well for the Govt because on the one hand, one bunch of brown people has attracted the interests of the law while the other bunch is being allowed to run free. On the world stage, this is balance and fairness. But here, at the very least, this is a shyt look for the police, a really shyt look…the Police, nothing more than a tool of Govt rather than an essential service to society.

  2. Scamaki’s leather boys did well…not…the cops were not too pleased at all about walkers on the motorway. Hikoi organisers worked with Police for the harbour bridge crossing, which was manageable due to the lane structure and organisation.

Will Destiny patches get taken? doubt it. An entrepreneur should produce patches for the rest of us…“FREEDOM of Association, Assembly & Speech” with a red fist or koru in the middle of the circle.

      1. Have messaged my son who works in graphic design industry for options.

A T-shirt would do fine for most, but I still have a couple of cut off denim jackets from V8 days and would like a real patch!

The anti patch thing from National is definitely going to be challenged in higher Courts, and members are not going to just hand them over. I talked to some Kaitaia cops about the patch ban and they just laughed with “good luck with that” look.

Senior cops will be ordered to be hard line in some cases but how many resources are they going to put into a dress code really…they can’t even provide mental health support any more.

  3. I agree with you about the world ending although you will have to give up the drugs if you want to go to the better place.
At least you are unlikely to find Destiny members at the better place so that is a good reason to give up drugs. No guarantees though as nothing is finalized yet.
