    1. It’s great to see Brian so dedicated to children. I’d dedicate to Brian, the 1971 Tom Clay remix of the Bacharach memorable hit, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZLKX5nGk4w.

  1. This would be an opportunity to use the gang patch law .They are just a mob of thugs NOT Christian in my book.

    1. ” NOT Christian in my book”

On the contrary, they’re quite typical of christians, world history supports this.
But it’s unsurprising that it is your viewpoint.

    5. Yes, it must be asked will Tamaki’s thugs be prosecuted for intimidation and wearing gang patches?

      1. No, because the legislation on gang patches specifies certain organizations whose insignia is banned. Same as the Suppression of Terrorism Act. You can be a terrorist with no worries so long as your name and the name of your organization is not on the government’s list of terrorist entities. Both pieces of legislation are an affront to the rule of law. They give government the right to judge, and the courts are there merely to enforce the judgement of the government, an inversion of the process normally followed in a democracy operating under the rule of law.

    6. Yes, where is the gang patch law policing here? Oh, they just enforce it at private funerals…and in people’s houses.

    7. Agree with you too.
Mindless thugs from the 1985/86 era straight out of the Homosexual reform law era.
Same bullshit went down led by some of the churches.
Baptists, Presbyterian, Salvation army and evangelical fascists churches.
With a big referendum chase with a large chunk of multiple double and triple signatures and kids under 16 from memory including made up names same bullshit different era but the same same.

    1. Romans 2 is a warning against judging others which is what the Destiny group were doing, Jesus came to seek and save the lost and those who claim to follow Him should have the same motivation,
2 Tim 3:12 In fact, anyone who belongs to Christ Jesus and wants to live right will have trouble from others. 13 But evil people who pretend to be what they are not will become worse than ever, as they fool others and are fooled themselves.

      1. Not sure what Jesus has to do with the destiny church. Mr. Tamaki seems much more at home in the Old Testament

      2. That is correct, but Paul’s point, speaking as a Jew and as a Christian, is that Jews who do evil will be the “first” recipients of “trouble and distress”.
Why is that? Two reasons. One is that the Jews stand apart and therefore will be easily singled out and punished for their transgressions by the nations of the world. The second is that the Jewish people were considered to have a special relationship with God and when they violate or betray that relationship they will be punished by God himself, before any gentile.
That logic can be extended to any Christian congregation. When Destiny Church “does evil” then it will be punished by the world and by God.
The sufferings of those who truly follow the Christian way are just as real but of a different order. The righteous are comforted in the knowledge that their sufferings come from having upheld the good and therefore their troubles can be faced with equanimity, while the troubles of those who do evil will be accompanied by “wailing and gnashing of teeth”.
Destiny Church has done some good things. The problem is that they have allowed their misguided anger to over rule their conscience in many important matters. Compare that with “these people, although not having law” who “are the very ones to demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their own hearts” (Romans 2:14,15).
So it is better to be a non-Christian motivated by love and compassion for others than to be a Christian inflamed by anger and thereby driven to evil.

        1. You believe in a weird God, try fitting your comment in with Mt 5:44-46 and it won’t work. Evil exists because of sin and if the world was perfect there would be no need for God to save us.
It is impossible for anyone inflamed by anger and driven to evil to be described as a Christian although like all of us there is the possibility of repentance and faith that transforms us. The judgments of God are in Revelation 16 and happen after everyone has chosen who they believe in.

          1. Because a vast number of people who all call themselves “Christian” dispute others claim to the title, as a rule I take the easy way out and recognise as Christian anyone who claims to be Christian (I do make certain exceptions to the rule).
It is possible for a Christian to be “inflamed by anger and driven to evil” precisely because Christians are human beings who are also subject to sin. If you yourself are perfect and without sin then you are an exceptional Christian rather than a typical one.

  2. I was surprised to find that I agreed with Wayne Brown over this issue, while I could not be described as a supporter of the Rainbow community they do deserve the right to live in peace, Destiny church are demonstrating the attitude described in Jn 16:2 which is more evidence that they are not a true Christian church

    1. The very notion of the “Rainbow community” is designed to create the impression of something bright and beautiful, loving and sharing. “I put my rainbow in the cloud and it will serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth”.
Who does not love to look upon a rainbow? Who could object to rainbow steps or a rainbow crossing as an expression of the visual beauty of creation and a sign of God’s grace?
However in the current order of things the rainbow is being exclusively identified with certain sexual practices which some of us may not find acceptable and orientations which they may not find appealing. Then, when they see how the rise of “the Rainbow community” has paralleled, and in no way hindered, the rise of social attitudes centered on self-gratification and the projection of political power through the massive and indiscriminate use of violence, they will rightly question what there is of value to come out of this new order of things represented in “the Rainbow community”.
So you are not wrong to stand apart from both the Rainbow community and Destiny Church.

  3. if my kids were in that library it wouldn’t be over by a long way. Tamaki is declaring war on civil society and should be treated accordingly.

  4. It would seem that the dislike of Tamaki and his so called Christianity units those of the left and right to condemn him and his merry men (thugs)

      1. No he’s not Trev, Tamaki wants Luxon to declare only two sexes. He said Luxon needs to talk with him and create an Elon Musk relationship with him.

  5. Destiny church is yet another hypocritical self righteous Christian cult, akin to another Gloriavale. Members perpetrating violence need to be jailed. You can’t use the “we have a right to do it because they did it reap what you sow” bullshit excuse. You’re just as bad and complicit to normalizing hate and violence if you have that logic.

  6. Question.

Why is Auckland City Council paying Drag Queens for “Science Shows”?

Why not pay catholic priests for science shows?

It would just be dumb to pay scientists for science shows.

  7. Catholic priests have been performing science shows on young boys since forever.
