  1. soy milk is looking pretty good at only 297l per litre of soy milk.
    I guess this is a typo, maybe you mean 297 litres of water to make a litre of Soy milk?

  2. • What the livestock farmers and dairy farmers LOVE to lie about is how all these animals are ‘grass fed’ outside in the summer and with silage in the winter. Lies lies lies. The bit the farmers conveniently forget to tell the uninformed is that no way do these industrialised animals live on grass. The question to ask livestock farmers and which dumbfounds them is: ‘How did BSE happen then?’.

    • Concentrates (commercially grown grains etc) are fed to these industrially farmed animals to make sure they grow quickly. The dairy cow now produces four times the milk that they would produce for their calf in the natural world. It is through selective breeding and fed concentrates that keep this disgusting industry going like the conveyor belt that it is.

    • Now, after the horror of BSE, it is illegal to feed mammary animals concentrates with dead pieces of their fellows in the mix.

    • So soya came into its own……it has been popular since the 1940s when it was found animals grew quicker and bigger on this ‘magic’ bean. Since the end of body parts going into mammary animals feed stuffs, soya has taken off and caused many a rainforest to be razed to the ground.
