He seems to have disappeared altogether…

Where is Clutha-Southland Member of Parliament Todd Barclay?

The last confirmed sighting is a pub in Queenstown, on Monday afternoon.

More than two weeks ago the disgraced MP announced he would not seek re-election for the National strong-hold he represents  following a scandal over a recording he allegedly made of a staff member.

…so he continues to be paid his $160 000 salary with all the perks until the election and has just managed to disappear like all National Party members who find themselves in trouble like Mike Sabin and Jason Ede.

Not only has this little shit disappeared from public sight, he isn’t actually doing the fucking job we pay him for…

However, he has not made a single official public appearance and has taken leave from Parliament – though the National Party could not say when he would return.

He has been spotted at his home in Arrowtown but when Stuff reporters have called there has been no response.

He has not answered phone calls from reporters.

It was widely anticipated he would accompany the Prime Minister Bill English when English was scheduled to speak at the Property Institute of New Zealand conference in Queenstown on June 29, as he usually does when a Minister visits in an official capacity.  The Prime Minister’s flight was cancelled due to poor weather and there was no sign of Barclay.

On Monday afternoon Barclay was spotted taking a phone call outside the Pig and Whistle, in Queenstown. A reporter approached him for comment and was told several times that he was “not going to be speaking to anybody” and he was “taking a bit of a break” before Barclay disappeared back inside the pub.

On Wednesday morning he did not appear at the Education and Science Committee, of which is deputy chairman, in Wellington.

So why are National Party voters turning a blind eye to this rort? Because most right wingers are selective about their rage, like screaming at Lizzie Marvelly after she asked for traffic directions…

 …National Party voters don’t care that Todd Barclay broke the law, they care he got caught. They didn’t care that John Key signed off on a war crime, they care it got made public. National voters also didn’t care that their Prime Minister was running a black ops team out of his office or that the PMs Office colluded with the SIS to frame the Leader of the Opposition months before the 2011 election.

Those real abuses of power don’t matter to National party voters, what matters is that they can keep property speculating without risking their illusion of wealth and they will tolerate any behaviour by their MPs to guarantee them that.
