MPI withdraws staff from NZ First Minister’s office after complaints
The Ministry for Primary Industries has stopped seconding its staff into NZ First Minister Mark Patterson’s office.
Patterson is the Minister for Rural Communities and the Associate Agriculture Minister.
A whistleblower came forward to 1News raising concerns about the treatment of MPI staff in the Minister’s office. It is understood formal complaints have been made and more than one MPI staff member has left the office. No MPI staff are still working in the office.
Patterson is not directly involved in the incidents and the Minister brought in Ministerial Services once he was made aware of the complaints.
This doesn’t really make any sense does it?
It’s about his office – but not about him?
Does he smell or something?
Does he put out a foul odour that staff avoid?
Is it someone he has brought with him? Sometimes MPs bring their electorate staff into an Office and they sometimes don’t get along with the Wellington Staff, but to have an entire agency not send specialist staff to a Minister is concerning because it means the Minister is making decisions without the specialist staff he needs.
The rural community should actually be quite pissed with this outcome.

Who knows until we know really…just like Andrew Bayly…Luxo certainly was not going to tell anyone–not even Natzo rent boy Hosking–what his “loser” MP of 10 years standing in Hunua and Port Waikato had really been up to. Similarly, Winston is unlikely to shop this guy as the MPs all have so much dirt on each other.
With the provincial tory MPs, whether they be ex coppers or ex farmers, it is a safe bet to assume it will be something unpleasant that has caused other people grief.
Meanwhile, I’m still looking forward to hearing the full, unredacted story regarding Bayley. I’m sure there is more that we are not yet been told.
Perhaps some staff are allergic to essential oils? If someone was using one it could bring on an anaphylactic attack.

Should he not be out and about doing something useful
1.driving a school bus closer to the farm
2.delivering meals to rural schools
3.sorting out a regular RD service
4.finding some GP’s (and staff) for rural practice
