  1. if we on the political Left had actually been transformational over the last 4 years, if we had tackled poverty, inequality and housing with the same determination we beat those protestors off Parliament’s lawns

    Agree very strongly that our failure to do that is a tragedy.

    then there wouldn’t have been so many protestors in the first place.

    Disagree – IMO there would have been far more, and they would have had far more financial backing from the 1%-ers. (Depending on how the anti-poverty measures were brought into being.)

    However, I don’t know. In regards to the “protests” it’s all a bit hypothetical.
