Excellent, informative debate It’s the state that is the threat to the people, not the other way round. No one should believe the lying words of John key, his National government and it’s departments and the tory strong msm anymore.
Martyn Bradbury’s summation is so spot on, totally agree!!
Wholly support this program and Martyn’s amazing ability to process the details of every issue and put it in a context that all can grasp easily, it is clearly with his panel the most riveting investigative program dialogue we have available today.
Great work Martyn we and our extended family look forward to every episode you foster.
Your professional manner is also being fostered into the other presenters now making this the best weekly nightly spot to view the most important issues facing or communities and our country.
Great episode. Worth watching.
Also with the question, why are NZer’s apathetic to mass surveillance, I think they just don’t really understand the technology side, they are confused by the message of government about ‘everything ok and the rephrasing of the questions into something else” and as Jon has said, people are on a treadmill of activities and not able to have the time to even contemplate issues like this.
There are always early adopters who can see the issues first. It can take a while for others to catch up and it becomes a mainstream concern.
But funny enough the taxpayers union is not in arms about the missing millions in surveillance in the budget and not demanding accountability, while having an aneurism about the Mayoral ensuite costing a few thousand.
Surprise, surprise.
