US Vice President Debate – Pence leaves Harris gasping at his audacity
I often wonder why it is that Republicans enjoy the level of support they do. It’s a party of billionaires for millionaires who want to convince the middle class that it’s all the fault of the under class.
The bewildering gleeful ignorance alongside fanatical literal Christianity makes me vomit intellectually but watching Pence today helped explain why the Republicans manage to manipulate and deceive with such gasp inducing ease.
Pence has all the calm of an asylum patient pretending to be a Pilot on an imaginary plane. His tone, his crisp self assurance and his quietly spoken authority makes you believe for a second that he really is a Pilot guiding us through a rough patch of turbulence.
Then you remember he’s a patient in an asylum and there is no plane.
It’s his self assuredness that is the magical ingredient here, that and the fact he seems utterly delusional and living in an alternate reality.
I’m guessing you get a Pence perspective if all you watch is Fox News.
Every answer was a mix of half truths, fish hooks or downright total fabrications of the issues at hand, but he said it all with such authority that I’m guessing the easily swayed will flock to.
Kamala Harris was gasping at the audacity of Pence’s statements so much she could barely respond due to lack of oxygen.
The first Presidential debate was blighted by a Trump who refused to be controlled.
This debate was blighted by Pence having the uninterrupted time to say things that weren’t true in a voice that pretended it was.
This debate will help Republicans because Pence made them seem far less dangerous and feral than they really are.

Kamala Harris is a super weak pick though for potential VP. Just look how fellow Democrat Tulsi Gabbard (and what would have been a far superior pick imo) demolished Harris in the primary debates:

Harris (as Tulsi correctly points out) is a total hypocritical fraud, not surprising of course for US politicians generally though.
Agreed, for me Harris went from hero to zero back when I saw that.
Specifically, she didn’t deny the accusation of suppressing exculpatory evidence. That’s absolutely heinous.
Pence reminded me so much of Leslie Nielsen in his airline captain role (Flying High). A straight “expert” so full of twisted nonsense you could use him to pull corks
To the contrary, Harris won. She came across as a person of integrity, maturity and intellect whereas Pence was a bot, a Trump puppy , pre-programmed, robotic and I thought he was about to burst into apologetic tears for being Trump’s scared little boy sycophant. Harris smiled at his discomfort and lies.
I’d love to see tough Harris in the debating chamber. She’d eat Trump and little Pence for breakfast and ask for more. C’mon ..Give me some real opponents.

The quantity of redneck dog-whistles Pence calmly pulled out must’ve broken a record. He made it look so easy – it’s really not hard to see why frightened, confused, gun-toting, crazed Christians would vote for his side. It was very disturbing to see how swiftly both he and Harris defended fracking, as though anyone suggesting ending the environmentally disastrous process had just told a Pastor on stage in the middle of Sunday Church that they thought God isn’t real – it clearly was treading on sacred ground.
The fly was the best part.
The worst part was all the bullshit flag worshipping and the complete ignoring of the moderators questions.
