  1. Agree that the War Remnants Museum is very moving.

In Palestine as in Vietnam- the human race, those with souls, will triumph over the enemy.

  2. The Realm of New Zealand was fully complicit in the horrendous crimes committed against the people of Vietnam for three decades from 1945 to 1975. Sending arms to support the French imperialist forces, sending artillery and infantry to support the US forces in their campaign of genocidal slaughter, and sending Agent Orange by the ton to destroy the ecosystem of Vietnam leaving generations of Vietnamese children poisoned and deformed. New Zealand’s role in the Vietnam wars was utterly shameful. Yet every Anzac Day colonialist governments of both the left and the right celebrate these acts of pure unmitigated evil as though they were in some way noble and righteous.
There is only one acceptable response to the many and manifest evils of colonialism. It must be completely and finally eradicated from our motu.

  3. I believe the evidence shows that Vietnamese who collaborated with US forces in the City of Hue were massacred in the later stages of the Tet offensive. Accepting that as a fact, nothing can excuse it. However it is also a fact that the crimes committed in Vietnam by the Realm of New Zealand were more far reaching, indiscriminate, cold blooded and despicable than the crimes of the Vietnamese resistance forces. Our focus should be on the crimes of the colonialist regime as much as the crimes the people who were its victims.
