Ummmm – what’s up Doc? The 3 Bong Philosophy of Takuta Ferris

Here was Te Parti Māori co-Leader, Debbie Ngarewa-Packer very clear on this weeks Bradbury Group about her thoughts regarding Takuta ‘Doc’ Ferris’ comment regarding other ethnicities helping Labour out in the by-election…

…hours after that broadcast, Doc has a late night rant where he bewilderingly doubles down on his original comments.

Look.

I like Doc, he’s an intelligent, articulate and brilliant young man but his late night sectarian double down is very difficult to follow intellectually and the certainty he espouses while articulating it is just as disturbing.

His late night argument is that the offence caused by his initial post…

…is misplaced because the English language is a colonised force that restricts indigenous rights and you shouldn’t be hating on him when it’s the construct of the language that is problematic.

Don’t hate the player, hate the dictionary?

Allow me to break down his argument.

His argument is that he’s driving a car and hits your dog but you shouldn’t get upset at him about hitting your dog because he didn’t design the car.

Ummmmmmmm.

That’s what I call a 3 Bong Philosophy in that it only sounds meaningful after 3 bongs.

By doubling down, Doc has empowered every right wing Troll to paint his comments out as proof positive that the Māori Party have no interest in working with Labour and are only focused on racial sectarianism.

I call for a cup of tea and a lie down for the Doc and perhaps half the THC in his medicinal cannabis prescription because his justification is bat shit nutty.
