TWITTER WATCH BURN OF 2018: Judith Collins blows get tough on crime dog whistle and it explodes gloriously in her face

You would think after retweeting fake news that France was legalising underage sex that Judith Collins would work hard to be less of a malicious pus pit of scumbaggery on Twitter.

You would be wrong.

Here she is today trying to dog whistle her get tough on crime bullshit by attacking Labour over a criminal news story where she claims Labour would just give him a hug…

…unfortunately for Judith, as Russell Brown devastatingly pointed out, National actually voted down the Domestic Violence Victim’s Protection Bill that allows victims of the very type of abuse Thomas Coffin was convicted of to take time off work so they could escape and deal with their domestic abuse…

…Judith needs to attack so much she has no ability to self-censor her more vicious drives. She’s becoming a less orange version of Donald Trump.

  3. She seems to have lost the plot. Judith, who made horrible criticisms of Metiria Turei’s jackets, actually describing one as vile, now seems to be wearing her husband’s bed jacket to Parliament. It doesn’t suit her.

    Perhaps if she emulated the conservative chic of the clever young Green MP’s, she might pick up some of their cleverness and style and become something else. Anything else.Maybe get more sleep. Go to the gym.
    Do the healthy mind in healthy body stuff. Vitamin B 12. Swim around the harbour. Eat more greens – like vegetable ones I mean.

    Liver and onions.Garlic.Parsley sage rosemary and thyme. Anything.
    Hug a bus.

  4. I believe that her tweets (and the comments of Mark Mitchell) are carefully planned & executed market research on the potential success & support of an alt-right splinter party. I know that’s been discussed at length, but I can see no other reason at this time for the types of comments made this far out from an election. I think that over the new year there will be some careful analysis of the reactions, volume of supportive responses and some extensive internal polling.
    If National + Collins/Mitchell = anywhere near high 40’s, it’ll happen early/mid 2019.

    1. You’re probably right Nick, and it is a bit chilling if Collin’s twisted mud-slinging is part of a planned scenario rather than the petty adolescent viciousness which it often looks like. Not surprising that she is disliked by so many Nats. If she believes her own bile she might benefit from seeing a shrink – tough on the shrink though.

      Nats could probably get cheap group shrink rates.
