  1. There’s most likely a method to his “madness”…we just can’t quite see it yet…remembering that he is just a figurehead for the moneyed class that has long since captured US politics, therefore the entire world…meaning he can only do what they allow him to do, otherwise, he too, will have the same bright future as Zelenskyy.

I do believe that the ‘Panama Canal, Canada and Greenland’ shite has something to do with controlling sea lanes, which of course could then spell trouble for China and its ability to trade…..

  2. Trump has officially entered the USA into further imperialistic expansion. He wants Greenland for “strategic” reasons (Like Putin wants Ukraine) plus the Panama Canal.

Where do these tyrants in USA and Russia, get off on their imperialistic ambitions?
One can now see that Trump’s “we will get” Greenland ambitions requires the USA to withdraw from NATO, Denmark being a NATO member. Trump angling for a pincer movement with Russia on the EU (large markets and population) to weaken the EU and NATO sphere of influence? Place Europe under the dual jackboots of the USA and Russia?

Hence throw Ukraine under the bus, and leave EU to defend themselves (which they are more than capable of doing) all to gain the strategic Greenland (quite what is “strategic” about Greenland is not mentioned).

Have said is before, USA as a world power is gone. USA has joined the axis of evil.

His bargaining chips of tariffs againt Mexico and Canada is fast being back tracked (especially on automotive parts).

Trump has made an enemy out of Canada (Trudeau is loving the attention). Those reprisal Canadian tariffs are going to hurt (or trumpian speech “a little disturbance”) the USA population (but not Trump and his cronies). Canada will align with the EU (double the USA population and market size).

Wonder if Trump will invade Canada to get the resources (electricity for one) required to keep the lights on in the USA northern border. Will the USA military, “boots” on the ground, relish going up against their former brothers in arms? Revolt in the USA military?

  3. I dig my garden with a spade, cut grass with a sickle, saw wood with a bow saw, cook over a wood fire and ride to town on a pushbike. Donald Trump wants to “Drill, baby drill” and fill the world with fossil fuels. Yet it would be a mistake to think that I will do more than him to preserve the environment.
If eight billion people lived as I do, instead of maybe one or two billion, the planet and its people would be in better shape. But that won’t happen. The millions of middle class people who agonize about climate change while flying around the world, driving all about the country, installing new kitchens, and relaxing in the spa pool with the patio heater turned on full, will see to that. In the face of that exuberant middle class use of fossil fuels, my lifestyle will not change a thing.
On the other hand, if Donald Trump imposes across the board tariffs that cut off global trade at the knees and drastically reduces per capita consumption in the US and other trading nations then it may have an unintended positive consequence for the environment. Rather like Covid did, though perhaps not quite on that scale.
The message is that when “good and sensible” people have failed to live up to their responsibilities, we are left only with the hope that the deranged and irresponsible ones will do good by accident or for base motives.
In a similar vein, I am strongly opposed to war and militarism. Donald Trump is a known murderer who encourages and funds acts of genocide. Yet he may bring the bloody Ukraine conflict to an end and we have yet to see what impact he has on other conflicts.
The world has come to a sad pass when we must rely on demonstrably evil men to bring about good ends.
