Trump’s FBI raid, Biden finally wins and the unhinged madness of Republicans
A US political commentator believes the raid of Donald Trump’s Flordia home could backfire on the media and Democrats.
The FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida on Monday (local time) as part of an investigation into his removal of official presidential records from the White House.
Trump responded to the raid by saying, “Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before”.
The decision to raid Trump’s tacky Florida Golf Course is a dangerous political escalation as provocative as Pelosi personally doing a naked performance dance that strangles off a large red dragon live at the Taiwanese Parliament.
Republicans and Right Wing American media have seized upon this unprecedented raid as evidence of a shadowy Deep State moving against a Political Martyr which is the first goose step of a progressive liberal rainbow coalition vegan coup who will surgically force men to carry babies to full term while wearing face masks and denouncing Jesus Christ.
The ramifications of escalating at such a febrile time however genuinely risks pushing an incredibly hostile and polarised state into something even uglier.
Look at this level of naked hatred…
Partisan hostility is rising among Americans, Pew survey finds
Americans’ level of partisan hostility is rising, according to a Pew Research survey released Tuesday that highlights Americans’ complicated relationship with the political parties.
Over the past six years, the poll finds, Democrats and Republicans have both grown increasingly likely to view members of the opposing party through a negative lens. In the latest poll, majorities of Democrats describe Republicans as being more closed-minded, dishonest, immoral and unintelligent than other Americans; majorities of Republicans describe Democrats as each of the above, with the further addition of “lazy.”
Although such negative descriptions are up across the board from Pew’s earlier polling, there’s been a particularly striking shift in partisans’ moral assessments. Nearly three-quarters of Republicans (72%) now say that Democrats are more immoral than other Americans, up from 47% in 2016. A 63% majority of Democrats say that Republicans are more immoral than other Americans, up from 35% in 2016.
…it all makes for messy mid terms in November, especially post Roe vs Wade and with Democrats helping elect QAnon MAGA lunatics.
Biden’s most recent win with his massive Climate Change, Health Bill and Tax provisions has suddenly placed him at the top of legislative giants amongst previous Presidents and shows the magnitude of change he has been able to generate by working together.
His wins must be set against how spectacularly off the rails the Republicans have now become however.
You can be as rational and progressive as you like, but if the opposition are truly deplorable how much success can you measure?
We just found out Trump criticised his Generals for not being enough like Hitler’s Generals (hilariously General Kelly’s response to Trump was ‘you know Hitler’s Generals tried to kill Hitler 3 times’.) and over the weekend at CPAC an Art Installation of Jan 6th rioters was erected with a Jan 6th rioter in a cell performing art by crying.
Qanon lunatic and MAGA cheerleader Marjorie Taylor Greene even entered the cell and prayed with him FFS.
Hilariously it turns out this gimp actually turned evidence against other Jan 6th rioters.
When this is where the Republicans are, America is already lost.

Donald Trump is the most racist, homophobic, mysoginistic hatred-filled president in recent history. Had he won a second term, it is inevitable that the US would have become a theocracy with no rights for minorities.
The ‘establishment’ needs to what it needs to do, before we end up with a USA that has blacks hanging from lampposts.
I would rather have Biden anyday than a reactionary racist bigot who condones and encourges police brutality and pardons war criminals. You have to go back to the Civil War era for a president to have such a vicous attitude towards minorities.He would gladly bring back lynching and segreation if he could.
As for DeSantis. The guy is ontrack towards recriminalising homosexuality, and could very well spark the biggest set of pogroms against the LGBT community in history.

The FBI is not even remotely left wing. They don’t do raids lightly, and they’d have had to get signoff from a senior federal judge. I suspect like most law enforcement agencies they lean Republican, but it’s not their job to prefer one political party or another, and whether or not the raid will turn out to be politically beneficial to Trump is irrelevant. What would you have them do, take no action despite having information suggesting criminal offending by a former President?
That’s what they did when Hillary allegedly took home state secrets and her low grade security p.c (it is claimed) allowed Russia and Chinese spies to hack the computer.

When Trump becomes President for the second time in 2024 (assuming we last that long), watch how everyone will complain about when he orders FBI raids on the Bidens (Joe and Hunter) and the Clintons. The irony is that both have more justification right now for an FBI raid than Trump. Weaponising Federal law enforcement for purely political goals is an extremely dangerous path to go down. Trump wouldn’t go there during his term in office (despite calls for “lock her up”), but clearly this s0-called “left-wing” administration is more than willing to go after political rivals (based on the thinnest of reasons) just to ensure Trump can’t run again.

Why do you think that the US president should not have to obey the law? He appointed the best judges so their first-class (?) justice system should ensure the right result.

And many surveys show the majority of Americans want gun control, abortion rights, drug price control, and all the rest. The majority just need to act before gerrymandering and bent election officials make “Handmaids Tale” look like a practice run for what will be unleashed on the USA.

The way they wear their “christianity” on their sleeves utterly sickens me.. To me, it defines hypocrisy… This phenomenon isn’t confined to the US any more though, as the Pentecostal/evangelist/money worshipping charlatans are spreading through the west like a virus.. These people are not real christians, and their insistence on god being a man, and Jesus being a god is nothing short of the most successful cartoon ever produced..
