  1. I agree with all of this except for one small caveat.
    The idea that Russia is our enemy with whom secrets to do with guarding against terrorism should not be shared
    The real damage was the insider leak to the blabbermouth Washington Post who even expanded upon the leak by disclosing that Israel had a covert agent in a major ISIS town.

    The US also shares intelligence with the Saudis, Turkey, and Qatar, all known to fund the very extremists causing mayhem in the Middle East and Europe.
    It would be more apt with them in mind to say”with friends like these who needs enemies”

    There are huge criticisms to be made of Trump, but the drive to get rid of him at any cost can lead to blowback, where journalistic standards plummet,
    and readers will accept any old tosh provided its anti Trump.
    Thats not good for democracy or journalism
