  1. Similar to wondering what would have happened to the world if Archduke Franz Ferdinand had buggered off home after the first assassination attempt that fateful day, you can’t help pondering our fate if that young bloke hadn’t missed last year. The day the world didn’t dodge a bullet but the orange buffoon did.

  2. god help the world now that the sick USA has elected Musk and his Orange puppet .We have the same right here in NZ and may well have been the blue print for Musk .Luxon is our own Orange puppet and Seymoure our Musk and Winston is just a nutter along for the ride till he dies .
Then we have all the rich pulling the puppets strings while Semour fucks us all over including himself as they will soon cut him loose when he has done what they want .

  3. The partisan media and politicians can’t help reacting like this which is why Trump trolls them.
Their hysterical overreactions cause more of the public -who hate the media and political establishment- to back Trump.

Hands up who actually believes he will invade Greenland?
    No one?

    1. Idiot. Do you think the insurrection would have happened without Trumps immaturity? Blaming a media you believe is partisan is the issue because my question to you is which media platform do you believe, Fox news? If so tell by you think they are neutral?

Trump is a complete ass, his only credibility is he employs people around him who are intelligent and will do his bidding and work for him. He’s not intelligent enough to do it himself.

    2. I love how you blame the messenger( media) but not the message. The message is Trumps alone to own.
Trump stated that no one who rioted on Capitol Hill had a gun but multiple media outlets confirmed 6 people have been charged and convicted with possession of guns.
Not hysterical, hysteria is trying to find a reason that it was someone other than Trumps fault.

    3. Keepcalm he has to create distractions otherwise people will cotton on to the fact he won’t bring down prices, won’t bring jobs back, and is not remotely a champion of the people who voted for him. Blame the media all you like the guy is complete f wit.

  4. I wonder what is taking place behind Mr Marmalade’s madness. Is this a smokescreen, or is it real, well, we won’t have to wait long to find out.

  5. I don’t know why people are pretending this is unusual. Interfering in human countries isn’t something unique to Donald Trump. It’s just what yanks do. And that’s why yanks and yank-lovers should be kicked out of human countries.

  6. I agree Mohammed. The default American position is exceptionalism which when added to oligarchy and imperialism gives us unending aggression. Doesn’t really matter if Trump is a neocon or not, he’s not going to change things.

  7. I never thought I would say this but:
Maybe it is time for U.S. Navy Seals to storm Mar a Largo and eliminate the major threat to U.S. National Security.

  8. Good commentary TCell. I just read George Monbiots book The Invisible Doctrine that neatly sums up how the whole excrescence fits together. I’ve always regarded Monbiot as a Guardian reading namby pamby bourgeois handwringer, but here he nails it

  9. I think he has ruled out war with Canada for now. The idea of a war to take Greenland did surprise. I had reckoned that Trump might see the prospect of a war with Venezuela as offering the highest cost/benefit ratio. However I have to admit the numbers look even better for invading Greenland because the troops and bases are already in place and the rotten state of Denmark will not put up a fight. So if decisions of war and peace are to be made according to the Trump Corporation investment criteria, then America’s enemies can breathe a sigh of relief and America’s friends will get what they always deserved.

    1. Indeed. Though before attacking Venezuela (which is primarily a target because it does not pretend ‘israel’ is a real country) it seems more likely that he will follow the orders of his masters and escalates the genocidal air attacks on Yemeni civilians that Biden is already perpetrating with the help of the Luxon regime, possibly with a ground invasion.
