This embarrassing collapse of the Russian Army in the face of Ukrainian tenacity (and first world weapons) is another glaring example of how poorly planned Putin’s mad gamble really has been.
This will be Putin now at this most dangerous, and his most cornered.
The economic damage he intends to wreck upon Europe is clear, his intentions however are still blurry.
Will this set back panic a desperate Putin?
Will he launch some terrible weapon to regain dominance?
We just don’t know because this whole legacy based aggression has been emotional rather than strategic.
The fear is that Putin might snap before a Palace coup can take him out.
Putin has been pushing for a new nuclear bunker since 2016.
He saw Dr Strangelove for the first time ever in 2017.
He had his new doomsday bunker finished last year.
His deep Orthodox Christian Faith makes him the kind of lunatic who would see baptism of nuclear fire as a way to purge the world of sin.

People have lived in Europe for thousands of years without gas heating.
And they did it with out modern clothing and insulated buildings. It will not be easy. Yes it will cause hardship and require sacrifice.
To protect the most vulnerable, wartime style rationing of energy supplies, will be needed to keep the heating on in the hospitals and care homes.
If it means defeating a tyrant, if called on by their leaders, I am confident the people of Europe will make those required changes and take on that sacrifice.
In 2021 Russia gas supplies to Europe/UK made up 32% of overall supply. While that is large, I don’t think its accurate to say, Europe will freeze and has no other options. China demand apparently would not replace the UK and Europe in terms of volume.
Putin’s mad gamble, a gamble to protect that largely Russian populated area of Ukraine known as the Donbass from the US-led, puppet Ukrainian government whom have raged war on the Donbass since this puppet government overthrew the previous democratically elected government of Ukraine in 2014.
Protect his fellow Russians from a Russian-hating, US-led Ukrainian government – mad intentions indeed.
Rolling the dice on trying to denazify the Ukrainian government as well, a situation beautifully fomented by the world’s greatest ever peaceniks, the USA to boot.
What the heck is Putin thinking, doesn’t he know the world has changed! What was once bad is…what it is now.
And finally, showing what an open-minded, tolerant, and fully independent government they truly are not, gambling on disarming people who hold such a views of the world.
Again, in this upside down world we now live in, this is a raving mad gamble. Nonetheless, giving that Putin has already pulled off one of the greatest gambles of all time – he has stopped Russian energy/goods, flowing to Europe and the West by convincing the West to sanction his country – then clearly, there is no end to the danger that this man can inflict on the West.
Whew, thank goodness this particular Putin has only come to the surface now…..
