NZ First leader Winston Peters says he will campaign to break up Foodstuffs, forcing the supermarket co-operative to split along the existing brand lines of New World and Pak’n Save.

…I have been screaming at Labour for 10 years to smash up the Supermarket Duopoly and they have done sweet bugger all.

I’m not looking for socialism from the NZ Labour Party, I am just looking for basic regulated capitalism!

Why the fuck the Supermarket duopoly has been allowed the price gouging dominance they have for decades as Kiwis food insecurity grows and grows is utterly beyond me.

Kiwis get smashed at the Supermarket every week, it is outrageous that the Duopoly manipulate the market for their wellbeing.

It is the State’s responsibility to regulate Capitalism and ensure competition.

Labour, TPM and Greens should be arguing for the exact same policy, but use Iwi as the backer, in the way 2Degrees is a model.

Winston is a shrewd old fox, and this policy alone could gain him 20% of the vote if he dropped the feral culture war hate.
