  1. September 1938 the UK Prime Minister went cap in hand to visted Hitler and came back with a promise of peace . From memory that did not work out to well

Sounds like Simon Bridges to a tee.
The one thing I have learnt so far during this pandemic and it was highlighted through Bridges attempt to disassemble Ashley Bloomfield today is that Bridges is not a politicians arsehole. He is an attack attorney, nothing more, nothing less. He is vile and I thought I’d never hear myself say these words but National do not deserve a man of his ilk. His questioning of Bloomfield had to be seen to be believed. In fact they weren’t questions, they were statements. When you start with “you don’t even know Mr Bloomfield”, how can you be creditable in way shape or form. Fortunately Bloomfield is a class act and brushed Bridges off with ease and was able to do so because Bridges was out of his medical depth. National well may be in with a chance come election day, but not with this vile man at the helm. Stick to prosecuting attorney Mr Bridges, that’s when your at your vile best.

  3. These new gangs are like this current virus.
If you don’t go full on hard and stamp them out before they get a stronghold in the populace, then it will more and more difficult to eradicate, eventually becoming disastrous.

    1. Trying to stamp out gangs is impossible. It would be easier to make a society, that gives people more options out of poverty than Gang life.

    2. Deal with poverty and the “market” driven unemployment left to private for profit hands, and the need to join gangs will be diminished.
Recruits in their teenage years must have choices that are viable rather than becoming supported by a gang.
