I think Chris Trotters comments on inflation, and the hype of doom and gloom encouraging vendors to quietly hike their prices, regardless of their situation, cannot be underestimated. Price gouging is another term.
You guys ( Martyn, Damien Chris, Oliver) should do a piece where you look at the CPI basket and look at underlying drivers. Its all too to use inflation as an umbrella term that is exploited by politicians (i.e govt spending is to blame for an expensive potato??) and a public that just accepts things.

Great show and echoing Damian’s comments, I agree that People like you and Chris are doing essential work. Hilarious to occasionally hear MSM journo’s put you down or the NZ political blogosphere in general, when you are doing the work that they are too conflicted or incompetent to do.
Keep on holding power to account! (And dont forget to remind Damian that he needs to track down the Killer Paediatric Surgeon – the people have a right to know!!
