The Wiggles received death threats over Covid-19 MIQ allocation
The Wiggles reportedly received death threats before arriving in New Zealand and entering managed isolation.
Concerns were raised in January when the children’s entertainers were granted spots in MIQ ahead of their New Zealand tour.
Speaking to The Project on Thursday night, blue Wiggle Anthony Field said they had received death threats over email.
“We were in Australia when it happened, we were just following orders … so we thought we’d done everything right, and then we started getting death threats on email.”
It really says something about who we are now that the Wiggles are receiving death threats.
That’s like trying to blackmail Big Bird or assassinate Barney the Dinosaur.
The new age of subjective rage fed and nurtured by social media algorithms has been taken to a new level of crazy thanks to the economic insecurity and emotional burn out the Covid lockdowns are exacerbating.
Every major pandemic throughout history is followed within 12 months by mass social uprisings and from women protesting against Police in England to Trump’s Orange Lives Matter Insurrection in Washington to Piers Morgan storming out of his job – everywhere unfettered spittle flecked rage has become the norm.
We see it in the Billy TK Qanon nuttiness of Jami Lee Ross and his anti vaxx hysteria, we see it with woke twitter lynch mobs punishing white kids doing a haka and we see it with pakeha reactionaries freaking out any time someone says something in Māori.
We have all become so convinced that we are righteous that anyone who disagrees with us is evil incarnate.
Social media’s never ending talent to split us and divide us and the agents who seek to constantly exploit those divisions for their own pure temple narratives is polarising things to a toxic level.
We need to urgently start finding common ground.
We need to be kinder to people and crueller to corporations.

Really do you want raving anti vaxxers in your life? Gun lovers? Won’t wear a mask ever? Well I don’t want them in mine, and luckily only had one or two, but I have seen some really tragic cases with whole families going their own ways over COVID and 5G.
