The PSA and scab unions

I don’t get along with some senior staff at the PSA. As paid up members of the Wellington Twittearrti, they’re either yelling fairly defamatory rubbish claims at me on twitter or stating I’m a traitor to the cause for criticising public servants who commit grotesque abuses of power by spying or upholding draconian social policy that simply punishes.

Being on the receiving end of allegations that I’ve betrayed solidarity by senior PSA staff is pretty hilarious in light of the PSA’s role in setting up a scab union, as highlighted by Chris Trotter’s damning blog and Bryce Edward’s expose on it.

As the enormity of the PSA action here starts to become comprehended by other public sector union members, the backlash could be enormous.

Perhaps PSA staff need to stop building empires, stop spending so much time on Twitter and maybe a tad bit more time rebuilding fading public confidence in services by encouraging PSA members at the coal face to anonymously speak out against counter productive social policy and get back on the side of the people.

Some senior PSA staff are as undeservedly self important as your average Wellington mummy blogger, creating scab unions is a tactic that will blowback on them.
