  1. Indomitable spirit, that about sums it up nicely, Frank. Those men, plus women like Malala, represent the better side of our nature. Good vs evil, and I agree, we tend toward good Most of the time)

  2. Well said, Frank.

A sad case of another home-grown terrorist blighting people’s lives.

  3. Thanks for that Frank.

It’s just so easy to see the world of humans as a hopeless case and I’ve always struggled to see the glass as half full rather than the opposite.

Age tends not to help this struggle either so that everything looks grim and insoluble. I know this one.

The reality is quite different. Somehow a bodhisattva appears at just the right time. They are always ordinary everyday people, not necessarily the powerful or influential, and they never act in these situations for the wrong reasons (personal glory or gain).

It does the rest of us well to dwell on these people and ask ourselves how we would react in a similar situation.

    1. Damn. I should have checked, EP. Especially the reference to “animals” should have alerted me, which was kind of odd, considering the era that King Jnr lived in. Funny thing is that I got someone to proofread the piece, but not the quote.

I’ll have to edit the story and replace it with something else.

      Thanks for the heads-up!

  4. Well said.

Neo-nazi thugs and ISIS terrorists can spend eternity together in whatever passes for the Afterlife. I’m sure they’ll have lots in common to talk about.

  5. Commendable article.

That said, what I find REALLY INTERESTING is that those who stand for truth, and stand up to the thugs and liars that constitute the political ‘elites’ and officialdom in NZ, are usually ignored or are even severely abused for doing so.
