  1. What a miserable rant. If peoples pets are well behaved there is no reason at all to stop them going on public transport, it’s common practice in lots of other places.

  2. What if you need to take your pet to the vet and you don’t own a vehicle?

Obviously pets will need to be in cages when traveling on public transport… big dogs could be an issue here but I’m sure someone could come up with something to make it work.

  3. Ho! Someone got out of the wrong side of bed!
Just think of it as research for your next novel “Snakes on a Bus”.
    I’ll look forward to it…

  4. Cuddle up to a cosy sheep, my friend, and embrace the animal kingdom, they may also have a soul of sorts, easy to discover.

Meanwhile, baah, baah on the buses, a great new tourist experience, in the land of the millions of sheep, they are even allowed onto buses and trains.

  5. I’m with you Martin. Perhaps we could have a move in the other direction to ban certain human beings from public transport: the bores on their mobile phones, those with audible music coming from same, the smelly unwashed (including those reeking of fast food), those that sneeze or cough without putting a hand in front of their mouth, and those who push one’s items off the spare seat without a please or thank-you.

  6. You are so wrong on this one M. No reason at all pets can’t go on public transport, they would either be on laps or on the floor and on leads, certsinly no taking passenger seats. And no pet owner would risk taking an unruly pet they couldn’t control on public transport.
