  1. Any prison system that does not protect the vulnerable such as LGBT people is no better than the criminals we lock up.

    If we, as a society, can’t protect transgendered or transitioning prisoners, then in what way will that assist their rehabilitation? Answer; it won’t.

  2. Protesters who allegedly chained themselves to the Hamilton Department of Corrections office over treatment of a transgender prisoner have been arrested.

    It shows the absolute madness of our system when citizens who point out an injustice are arrested – whilst a government department is permitted to carry on it’s mistreatment of people under it’s care.

    Hopefully the judge will throw out the case and instead hold the Corrections Dept to account.

    Meanwhile, “Seven Sharp” and the print media focus on BS “cat-up-tree” stories.

  3. Yes agree with you Frank we passed the bill for our gay people to be able to get married and have the same rights but we are still very backward in other areas like prison reforms.

  4. The solution is to let them choose between male or female prison. It would soon help them out of their gender confusion, which is largely encouraged & spread by today’s unhealthy toxic self obsessed pop culture.

  5. What do you suggest would be the solution if a male sex offender “decided” that they no longer identified as Male but Female?
