Act Party looking to stand candidates in local elections for first time

The Act Party has announced it is looking to stand candidates in the upcoming local council elections, saying it’s “time for a clean-out”.

As the Herald revealed on Tuesday morning, leader David Seymour is calling for expressions of interest from New Zealanders to stand for their local council under the Act Party banner. Local elections will be held in October.

This will be the first time Act has looked to field candidates in local elections.

Love him or hate him or love too hate him, Seymour is an alpha predator of the political world.

After the appalling failure of the school lunches, the Treaty Principles Bill and managing to desecrate everything they touch, ACT are expanding into local politics with a brilliant scheme of getting rich prick libertarian reactionaries to fund their own campaigns.

Because everyone universally despises local politics, ACT have a great chance of real representation.

The long term plan for ACT is to mutilate the state so badly it can’t function and getting in at the grass roots level is a perfect way to destroy good will and communities.

It’s a diabolical strategic genius.

Now, as for his claim during the announcement of raiding local politics that Libertarian Jesus would vote ACT…

…ummmmm.

At least Libertarian Jesus would be able to feed all the kids with 3 loaves and a fish without burning any children, and I’m not sure where Jesus would be with Party President’s caught abusing children, because that’s more a Catholic Priest thing.

Jesus doesn’t give me an uptight, anti-Māori libertarian incel vibe, it’s way more molotov cocktail throwing marxist…

…Jesus seems pretty keen on a capital gains taxes and doesn’t sound like he wants to create loopholes for property speculators.

I don’t think Jesus would vote for ACT, I get the feeling Jesus would instead break the 7th seal outside David’s electorate office and unleash the Apocalypse and dump the entire ACT front bench into the 7th level of hell.

But then again, I’m no theologian.

Jesus recruitment aside, it’s a very smart play on the local politics putsch though, the Left need to stop underestimating the wide eyed amputation of the State he as a Free Market Stormtrooper represents.

ACT are here for an ideological war, while the Left still aren’t sure what they actually believe beyond pronoun policing, militant cycling and cancelling anyone who doesn’t think female comedians are that funny.
