    The streams usually run from east to west but new data shows that the Northern Hemisphere’s streams have changed path and linked with streams in the south.

    “Welcome to climate chaos.     Beckwith explained the data in a video online in which he warned it could disrupt the world’s food supply and lead to “massive geopolitical unrest.”

    Scientists have observed an “unprecedented” event that could lead to an end of seasons as we know them, after Northern Hemisphere jet streams crossed the equator and linked with others in the south.

    Usually separated entirely from each other by the equator where warm air acts as a barrier, both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere consist of jet streams made up of either warm moist air or cold dry air.

    We have been previously warned that our lack of action to reduce CO2 emissions’ has caused the alteration for our protective jet streams made up of either warm moist air or cold dry air will now take our climate changes now into a new and severely turbulent future of floods and severe weather events.

    This evidence is sufficient for urgent action to now be taken to change our transport modes to return freight to rail at every opportunity we can find.
    Some scientist’s actually thought the joining of both hemisphere’s jet streams not an issue but that was when there was a 75km distance between the two but latest US satellite evidence shows the closing of the two jet streams sis now almost overlapping at the equator and with only 7kms apart now!!!

    Re-open all NZ regional rail services including the mothballed the Gisborne to Napier rail and restoration of lost freight to Palmerston North rail freight and restore all passenger rail services.

    Cost is not an option to consider any longer as salvation of our planet now exceeds any other consideration.

    2. Yes Chooky,

      Britain was very uneasy about this pressure US placed on the British over giving the cold shoulder to Russia.

      As again the British still suffer and recall who helped Britain and US win the last war against Germany don’t they.
