I have just attended a disappointing production of Sweeny Todd. The music and singing was far too loud and the words of the songs, and even some of the dialogue, were difficult to make out. This made it difficult to follow the story; I got the general drift but missed out on much of the detail. All in all a pretty mediocre performance.
Anybody else utterly disappointed in the Noigil Letter “Hard Stuff” on Ummigrashun and Edjakayshun episodes?
Maybe it was the editing, although I fear not. (Actually I KNOW not)
What shallow, facile, total kaka both the episodes were.
Christ! There’s a rilly rilly good comedy skit – perhaps even a series with NZoA funding (not of the Factual, Music or Platform streams) in it!
Yea/Nahhhhh
Ekshully, I take that bek.
The finale wasn’t so bad – apprenticeships and alternatives.
But sure as shit the Ummigration episode was an absolute superficial abomination.
The naive approach of someone with Noigil’s credentials (I’d just learned of them in the finale) just fucking astounded me.

if labour have moved away at all from neoliberalism (something i doubt..esp with/from the current leadership) –
– at best they have lurched into a form of lukewarm incrementalism as their philosophy/policy bed-rock..
..and their pathetic/piss-weak ‘solution’ to the obesity-epidemic that so blights us..
..is that iukewarm incrementalism writ large..

As the Zaytouna-Olivia all women crew,Women’s Boat to Gaza, continues on its way to Gaza, media outlets are interviewing participants. Why isn’t RNZ interviewing NZ MP Marama Davidson? Why the total silence, re Women’s Boat to Gaza, from RNZ? It looks like RNZ has its own agenda which is not to any provide information to the public that could be seen as criticizing Israel. This isn’t journalism, this is censorship.
