I’m pleased corrections and police seem to have handled this woman’s complaint appropriately by giving her access to a lawyer, police complaint and offer of rape check after activating the emergency button and reassigning the corrections employee.
Having guards cover cameras in prisons should be a red flag (and not allowed) sounds like he may have got away with it if guilty, so it still needs more work to ensure prisoners feel confident enough in the system to make formal complaints. Obviously fear is a big factor when being under the control of an abuser.
