  1. Being superior about our puny efforts at controlling politics can be taken too far.
This cartoon came to hand recently.
Old lady in confessional – I have sinned Father – I have killed a politician.
Good Priest replies – ‘My daughter I am here to listen to your sins, not your community service work.’

    1. Well I certainly hope that during the Christmas shutdown, politicians and the bureaucracy will be reflecting on why what seems to be a growing number of people are losing faith in our democratic institutions.
I’ll be practicing my pivoting in this space going forward. So far I’ve only managed to pivot while going sideways. That, and tending to the rhubarb patch because I’m thinking that as I grow up to my second childhood, I wanna become an influencer. Or even an Ontra Prin Ew Ah

  2. Thinking about all the changes we have to make ordered by those in charge – TICs. Generally to get more using electronic devices which must be replaced by faster ones with more bells and whistles. And bigger patches of the earth being laid to waste for the ingredients to this mess of pottage.

And the bandwidth being used for more visual/aural presentations so that people sit and watch imaginatory stories and real ones from exotic but degraded locations, and lose any concept of what society is about and how to realise ones own human gifts and higher understanding.

Sit there, stand there, and take in the feed of hegemony for the day, and join in with everyone else, be neighbourly, don’t stop and think about it all or anything really. Don’t be different, don’t think about where the current is sweeping you into deep water away from what’s familiar and has become dear to your heart.
