The mantra at the farmer protests seems to be ‘No farm no food’. But what happened to the end of days declaration recently that a thin slither of land around Auckland was the only food producing land in the country? Can you actually grow and farm stuff outside of Auckland? And if you can grow food in outer New Zealand, does the government need to step in to ensure food production in the future just in case there is ‘no farm, no food’?
