Auckland Transports ‘window dressing’ security staff… how can the public feel safe on public transport if the security staff’s idea of security is to phone the police and wait for them to come when there is an attack… I’d think any member of the public could do that… (and probably quicker).
Nice to see that the near 50% of all Aucklander’s rates are spent on the big wig salaries, PR and advisors, while the staff on the ground are just window dressing and not actually expected to provide any intervention in an attack on passengers.. ahh the neoliberal way, just wait for another organisation to do something real rather than provide effective staff yourself.
