    1. Dredging for shellfish or bottom trawling for fish are the equivalent of carpet bombing a forest to get a rabbit for a feed.
      Both should be banned completely in NZs economic zone.

  2. Not one more cent of our taxes should go to the greedy corporate Emirates Team NZ. This sport is elitist time to give it the chop chop.

    1. It’s rich men’s social welfare. They want to play, they have to pay. Or they must show that the amount received from extra boat building and equipment, in our hands, to the government in real tax paid from overseas interests, matches the pay outs. (Scrabble is quite a cheap game, very good for the brain and it can be quite a dog eat dog thing when you get afficianados!
